All real world issues aside, I do like his incarnation of the Master. Even if we’ve only seen him in one story before. From the sounds of the trailer, it sounds like (and I hope) we will hear the story of The Chief Clown’s descent into darkness.

I hope someone can get Dreyfus to eventually change his views (it can be done, but probably won't happen with the toxic nature of the internet) as I really like his incarnation of the Master.

You know there is just SOMETHING about these CYBERMEN vocals by David Banks that just scream THREAT to me so much more than the sing-song monotonous ones. I actually loved the seeing of the chin in the suits as it echoed more the very human origins of these monsters. This is high on my listening list

Am not up on Internet Gossip what are his views? It doesnt matter i read a bit. I agree he sounds very much a malignant force in this audio.I will be interested what direction they take with this story at least its in the hands of its original author

So I wrote into the enquiries over a week ago asking when BF would be opening up Main Range titles so we can subscribe past March of 2021 and this was my reply: Thanks for writing in! Sorry for the delay in responding. Glad to hear that you want to subscribe to more Doctor Who.
I'm afraid we can't comment on upcoming plans for our releases via the Enquiries box. We'll be making an announcement soon, so please monitor our website/Facebook/social media channels, as any announcements will be made there. So this is complete speculation on my part but I think we are about to see changes coming to the MR. I don't know if that means box sets or what but in past years when I've asked about advancing my Main Range sub I was always told it was something they were going to do soon. So this, much more guarded and I would say unusually delayed, kind of response is different. As are the words "upcoming plans". It could all be nothing but this certainly feels different.

Total speculation on my part, but I wonder whether they are going to take the Main Range / Monthly Adventures down the same road the Fourth Doctor Adventures took with series 7 onwards.
Price matching the Main Range would certainly be one explanation for the leap in the single download release on the Fourth Doctor's (from £8.99 this year to £12.99 with January / February's releases).

I think they've hinted at a move to a 6 disc boxset format for a while. I think the price matching is just because of the change to the 2x4 format.

I'd completely forgotten they were changing the format. Thanks for the friendly nudge in the ribs to remind me. 😊

Young-ish McCoy in the TV Movie costume is either deeply important to the plot/timeline placement or just to confuse us all more.

They have? I though that was still just speculation

Apparently the Ace in Dark Universe is the A Charitable Earth CEO version, so post-Gallifrey: Time War, so her being older makes sense. Who knows why McCoy appears so young.

Oh I guess I just assumed it was Gallifrey Ace cause it's on Gallifrey but nope. That's okay! Wonder how it'll fit into the new book...

Ace, then thinking of the trailer for S26... what if the moment he knocks on the door is this moment? (I know, way over-thinking and speculating. But isn't that what we do? )

I think that could be a perfect way to align three different types of merchandise being released in three consecutive months; Season 26 (December), Dark Universe (January) & At Childhood’s End (February). I think it would make them all more desirable as a result, despite all three being hotly anticipated.

Yet the US doesn't have a Season 26 release date yet, but I've already preordered Dark Universe and will get At Childhood's End because Ace is my favorite TV Companion.

Dark Universe looks interesting. The idea of an 'older' Ace with the Seventh Doctor could be interesting. It just needs to 'avoid' the pitfalls of the 'older Mel arc', which did not seem to go anywhere. A younger looking 7th Doctor in the Movie costume is puzzling - perhaps there is a boo boo here that's not been spotted. McCoy's face also looks a bit like the one from the title sequence with the costume of the Movie put around it. Will have to see.
Blood on Santa's Claw is still not been announced properly... Would like to know how this one goes.
Clearly, there are changes afoot with the MR. I was hoping that they'd reactivate the super-sub option again as I'm now able to take advantage of that. I get why they'd want 6 releases or 'box sets', but I do quite like a single story every month to look forward to. It's been the unique USP for BF from the off, so it will be a big change in style. It might bring in more listeners, but then take the focus away from the longer-term subscribers. Not sure I'd bother checking the site if I had got my 6 releases at the off.
