I'd have thought it'd just be a Seven, if they've found the recording time since getting McCoy back from Mediaeval France! Not sure they'll treat it as an end of range special as they're basically carrying on in a new format of boxsets. I think it'll be standard fayre whichever Doctor they've got in?

Really like the sound of that Fifth Doctor story. Doctor Who doesn’t really tackle thrillers all that often!

I'm getting a strong Dalek Invasion of Earth vibe from The Blazing Hour cover . Most perplexing.

These both look lovely. No mention of Flip with Connie though, wonder if this is going to be the getting Connie home and writing her out story? Hope now, love those three together. Both great covers again. Great writers, Moore always delivers and I loved Kettle's River Song story. I'm expecting this will just be a Connie Alone story in the gap between Order of the Daleks and Absolute Power. Interesting to see Turlough getting another solo release before the end - only his fifth total, but stretching from the second to the second last!

I’d put money on 275 being a Seventh Doctor story as well. Maybe it’ll be his long awaited encounter with the David Banks Cybermen? After all, Sixth and Fifth have had their rematch with them.

Thinking a little more of the serendipity of Turlough in both the second and penultimate releases... In the first & last ten releases of the Main Range we got... - The Fifth Doctor and Turlough - The Sixth Doctor and Peri - The Seventh Doctor and Ace - The Sixth Doctor and an original BF companion - The Brigadier - Daleks - The Fifth Doctor and Nyssa (although not alone in the last ten!) - Mostly standalone stories The only recurring character missing from the first ten? Evelyn Smythe. But in the last ten we also got... - Tegan & Marc - Hex - Slitheen - The Time War - The Eleventh Doctor We'll have to see what the Finale brings! It might be run of the mill, but I'd love to see something special.

As these are two linked stories I'm wondering if the MR will end with a mutli-Doctor story to conclude a trilogy begun with these two? Are they linked? I re-read the news article and it's a bit ambiguous I think it's a story told backwards (from the POV of the Doctors' timeline.) Sixie does something which leaves consequences for Five to face later in Time. Agree with the speculation that the final final story really should be a Seven story, by that logic. The super-schemer to put events in 'the right order', a variation on the way the Harvest / Reaping / Gathering was told out-of-order.
Or better still for the final release, all three Doctors - and like Mark suggests, maybe the other MR Doctor as well for one last hoorah! (While we're at it with our shopping list, you used to do 3 CD stories for these super-special MR events, didn't you BF? *cheeky grin*)

Textless Cover for NO 273 Colony of Fear Regards mark687 Yowza! The eyes on the Sixth Doctor really pop for Colony of Fear (I'm getting flashbacks to Frank Herbert's The Green Brain). Also, another Five/Turlough story from the looks of things. *cheering noises*

I’d put money on 275 being a Seventh Doctor story as well. Maybe it’ll be his long awaited encounter with the David Banks Cybermen? After all, Sixth and Fifth have had their rematch with them. Maybe an anthology release - 4 x 1 part stories, 1 for each MR doc, with a ongoing thread running through them. Maybe bringing back some of the writers of yesteryear - Rob Shearman, Paul Cornell
Or maybe stories with some connection to each Doctor's past in the MR
- Erimem with 5? - Evelyn with 6 (using archived recordings a la J&L Forever) - Klein or the Forge for Seven, maybe Mags at a push - Charley and 8, maybe C'rizz (Nick did say recently there were 2 upcoming Charley projects). Or maybe Mary Shelley in a clever timey wimey retcon that explains her meeting with 13
I'm probably wide of the mark, but that's what I'd do

With Colony of Fear and The Blazing Hour, as well as the previous mentioned two releases, BF are kicking out some crackers for the last embers of the monthly range. I'll be getting all these releases. Also - where's our Flip?

Avoiding deceased or retired actors, I'd say the most iconic MR teams for each Doctor are: - Five, Nyssa, Tegan and Turlough - Six, Flip and Constance - Seven, Ace and Hex - Eight and Charley Quite a cast for a single release though!

Hmm. Compare with what he wrote over on another thread
and I'm wondering whether the Main Range will close off with Eccleston.

I think that's very much a case of putting 2 and 2 together and making 35. I don't see why the last main range release should be an Eccleston story.
