I was not a fan of Culshaw's Delgado, but his impersonation of the Brig is just uncanny. He was the perfect choice for a recast.
I find it funny how the very beginning of the MR featured Five, Six and Seven in order of appearances, and how the last episodes feature Seven, Six and Five, like an "inverted" mirror. Let's hope #275 will be a celebratory episode, like The Sirens of Time was.

What if the last stories for 5-6-7 had them arriving at their stories for Sirens of Time, making the MR into an endless loop?

What if the last stories for 5-6-7 had them arriving at their stories for Sirens of Time, making the MR into an endless loop? Possible, but it would all have to happen in the last release. Six and Seven were both alone* and Five was with Tegan and Turlough. But who knows if that could be the cast of the final story? Would be a neat idea! (It could even work in Eight being on his way to the Folkestone Library??) *Gary Russell worked in a reference to the Kurgon Wonder in his Evelyn novel, but there's definitely no-one in the TARDIS with Six in Sirens.

I forgot about Tegan and Turlough for Five though. That might be a bit much to wrangle just for a fan-teasing epilogue.

Well, if you really wanted to do it, you could make Tegan and Turlough the main stars - they're separated from the Fifth Doctor in episode one, meet the Sixth in episode two (who promises to take them to the Kurgon Wonder, but loses them as well) then they meet Seven in episode three (who hears the Cloister Bell shortly after they leave). Then they're reunited with their proper Doctor in episode four... and go on their way, following a signal to 1915! "World War I," Tegan says, "What could possibly go wrong?" Crash in the Fourth Doctor-era titles, in line with the early BF releases!

This is unlikely to happen but maybe they could to cap off all the remaining Doctors of the monthly range, do an adaptation of the proposed ‘Fifty-Fifty’ where the Seventh and Eighth Doctors come to blows.

There is definitely a sense that the end of the MR is mirroring the beginning. It amazes me to think that 21 years have passed since that first release. The impact of this range is truly amazing and I am not sure we will ever truly appreciate how much of an impact that these stories have had on the development of the show. Yep, The Time War is heavily based on the Apocalypse Element and Torchwood is modelled on The Forge, but there is more than that.
BF took what, in 1999, was seen as a rather stale/moribund programme and revitalised it. It is a shame that the MR is ending, but to quote the Fourth Doctor, 'the moment has been prepared for' and I look forward to the next stage of the journey.

Trailer sounds interesting. Nothing too groundbreaking I reckon but a fun little romp to help send off the main range.

The wait for details on the final MR story is driving me crazy Be a odd day when it happens cause i keep having this strange thought of the reaction being "Why have they ended the Range with that story"? Also another Sirens Re-Match would be lazy I feel Regards mark687

I reckon the final MR story will either be a Seventh or Eighth Doctor story. Hopefully joined by the Warner Doctor.
In any event, we’ll probably find out come quarter past seven. Unless it is merely just festive sales.

Unless it is merely just festive sales. From where I'm sitting, I can't imagine they do anything other than a story featuring Peter, Colin, and Sylv--unless they also manage to rope in Tom and Paul because 'what the heck, it's the last one, so it's not like we're asking you to join the monthly stories.'

I also think the last one will be a multi- Doctor story. And I think it will be another one of the longer monthly range stories- maybe not as long as Zagreus, but definitely longer. They surely will conclude this with a bang? Maybe bringing in even some popular villains? (as long as it is not Nick screaming into his toy (aka Daleks). Again.)
