Maybe bringing in even some popular villains? (as long as it is not Nick screaming into his toy (aka Daleks). Again.) What about David Banks and Mark Hardy's Cybermen? On TV, they span from the Fifth to Seventh Doctor and are a recent addition to the MR, so still a bit of a novelty! Trouble is, as much as the Seventh Doctor encountering the Banks Cybermen would be superb would that be enough of a draw for the final monthly release? With all the secrecy surrounding it at the moment, I think a lot of people (and arguably rightly so) are expecting it to be something big.

I have a strong feeling Nick Briggs will be writing it.

I have a strong feeling Nick Briggs will be writing it. Would make sense I suppose. He did pen The Sirens of Time after all.

I've always said that Michael Jayston should get a series of trilogies.
OK, so he's not going to get that.
But, come on. Throw him a bone.
Last chance.
Michael Jayston IS the Doctor!
Please?

Given his age i think Big Finish should do as much as they can with Jayston especially given that The Valeyard is one of the most important parts of The Doctor's Character Lore plus Jayston was so good in The War Valeyard and should atleast get a boxset to himself to explore the heroics of that character

He was amazing. The difference between the old and the younger versions of the Valeyard alone was pure gold.

Am I the only one doesn't think the last story will be a multi-Doctor story? In fact, I don't even believe it will be an "event" story. Just a very good one, the way we have had very good, even great stories through the years. I think that would actually be the best way to end the range, with a really great story.

I wouldn't be shocked if it wasn't a multi-Doc... but if it was just, like, Seven and Ace against a new enemy or something, I'd be surprised. There has to be some element of specialness about it, in my opinion. That element really could be anything though.

I think there will be something special about the final release as it is the *final* release of the MR. Whether it is ground breaking or not is another question. It may just lay the foundations for the next series of adventures. I think it might be 7th and either Chris/Roz or the Doctor travelling alone again. There may be a few breadcrumbs laid to keep us interested in the next set of releases.

Well, well. It took the end of the range to bring McGann back to it.

Well, well. It took the end of the range to bring McGann back to it. After a gap of 120 stories! To compare that gap to a few other Main Range character blips: Brigadier: 19 to 272 (253) or if you count Zagreus, 50 to 272 (222)Silurians: 22 to 229 (207) Iris: 51 to 245 (194) Leela: 50 to 230 (180) Master: 49 to 211 (162) Kamelion: 91 to 247 (156) Ice Warriors: 117 to 263 (146) The Eighth Doctor: 155 to 275 (120)Adric: 110 to 221 (111)

Have we learned anything yet about when we'll get those remaining 5 & Marc stories that didn't end up in the Main Range?

Nothing concrete, but given that they recorded at least part of them, I can't imagine it would be too long. I assume in that bridge period between the Monthly Adventures and The New Replacement 2022 Range
