Sirens of Time, but it wasn't the first one I bought. I think I got Loups-Garoux, Jubilee, The Dark Flame, Doctor Who & The Pirates, Dust Breeding, and 10DA Vol. 1 before picking Sirens up.

Hello again.
Chimes of Midnight on BBC Radio 7 on a rubbish DAB radio that kept fading in and out. Wasn't sure about the theme tune. Loved the story and really enjoyed the creepy atmosphere.
First radio experiences: BBC Radio 4 including Just a Minute, Radio Active and I Sorry I Haven't a Clue. First plays: A thriller Campari for the Fishes by Teresa Collard and a comedy Who's Jimmy Dickenson by Alan Plater. Also terrified by Edward de Souza as The Man in Black in Fear on Four and Martin Jarvis reading Ruth Rendell's A Judgement in Stone.

Their Warhammer 40k/ Horus Heresy stuff they did for Black Library. I have been a fan of the Warhammer franchise for over 20 years now, a long time before I became a Whovian.
When I finally became a Whovian (at first strictly new series) I heard that they also were doing River Song stuff and since I enjoyed their Warhammer audios, I thought, why not check it out? So I did. And from River Song I went straight to the Eighth Doctor and Dark Eyes.

The animated adaptation of Shada with Eight and Romana in it (A BBC/ Big Finish co-production?) was the very first Big Finish story I experienced. During one of the breaks between Eleventh Doctor seasons, I binged the original series and this had come up on my radar by the time I got to Eight's movie. So into the marathon it went.
My first 'pure audio' was Storm Warning. Which I listened to after Night Of The Doctor got me curious about the companions Eight toasted.

Colditz, I didn't know whether I liked the idea of Who audios or not when I first heard it.

Storm Warning in November of 2013. Doctor Who and I share the same birthday (though nearly thirty years apart, luckily for me), so I made an account and my husband bought me the first McGann run as a present. I was doing an Eleven Faces of Doctor Who sort of thing at the time and I wanted to try something for Eight besides the TVM. Though by the time I got to Minuet in Hell it didn't seem like such a nice gift anymore. I was aware of Big Finish but hadn't taken the plunge until then. And even then, I swore I'd be an Eight-only buyer, but let's just say that didn't last long and my bank vault is a fair bit emptier now than it should have been. Money well wasted. Usually.

Sirens of Time. Had read about BF in DWM in July 1999 and wanted to experience 'new' Who that wasn't in print form - the BBC books were also not holding my attention by that point either.
Got Sirens for Christmas and have been listening on and off ever since. Managed to get most of the 2000 releases through begging or as presents (BF CDs were not as easy to get hold of then and as I was doing my GCSEs, I didn't work and had no money so trying to convince parents to order was always difficult). Had a 'break' as a student and then drifted back after finding a stack of CDs at home and re-listening to them. Been with BF solidly ever since.

I think my first exposure to Big Finish was actually when Human Resources was first broadcast on BBC 7! I completely caught it by chance scrolling through all the channels on my TV at the time. Then I think I didn't actually hear another story until my Dad got me Sirens of Time, Zagreus and A Light at the End for my 16th birthday in 2013. I don't remember being that fussed by them as I hadn't really watched much of the classic series at that point then it wasn't until Only the Monstrous, which was the first release I had gotten myself , that I got completely hooked on idea of Doctor Who on audio! Now I've got over easily over 200 stories either physically or digitally so safe to say I've been won over

Energy of the Daleks was my first Big Finish. I really wanted to hear Tom Baker in the role after so many years away so I picked up one of the early 4DAs. I liked what I heard well enough to try another story. I thought I'd experiment and try a different favorite Doctor so I picked up Cobwebs with Five because the story seemed interesting and it had a lot of Five's companions in it that I could hear for the first time on audio. After Cobwebs I was totally sold and started buying audios of Four and Five, which occupied me for quite a while. Eventually, I branched into Eight, then Six, then Seven. I got hooked pretty quickly. Really, it all started with Tom Baker as the draw, but it was the experience of listening to Cobwebs, which felt so authentic and exciting, that made me a true believer.

My first was Storm Warning. I came to Big Finish intending to severely limit what I considered to be canon (ie: head canon). I was going to do the Eighth Doctor and only the Eighth Doctor, because he only got a movie and never got a fair shake. ...and then I decided, well, the Seventh Doctor effectively got cancelled, so I can include him too, but no more than that. ...and then I thought, Colin Baker didn't get a fair shake and was really fired before getting a chance, so I can include him too, but no more than that. ...and then, and then, and then.... As of right now, my account has 974 downloads available (this doesn't include the still physical-only releases like Benny single adventures), with another 42 preordered through June 2021. CURSE YOU, BIG FINISH *shakes tiny fist*

CURSE YOU, BIG FINISH *shakes tiny fist* This sounds almost disturbingly familiar... I came to Big Finish intending to severely limit myself to Dark Shadows and only Dark Shadows. ...and then I decided, well, an immortal hedonist with a painting in his attic is right up my alley, and they're nearly giving away Dorian Gray, but no more than that. ...and then I decided, well here they went and recruited Tom Baker, so maybe I can include him too but no more than that. ...and then I thought, oh look, it's that adorable wizard from the Tolkien films and it's only $2.99, so I can include him too, but no more than that... and then, and then, and then... As of right now, my account has 1070 downloads available (this doesn't include all the Bennie CDs). Are you missing a brother? It's almost like I could be your older twin.

Let's kick this back up: When did you and El Finito Grande first cross paths? Where did you hear about them? What drew you?
What was your first story?
In my case, I learnt about it when I first started to dive into Classic Who. Looking up 8 then lead down this garden path, with my first being Invaders From Mars.

Since I have been a huge Warhammer fan for more than 20 years of my life, a long time before I became a Whovian, it was „Heart of Rage“ and the Garro Audios they did for Black Library. I liked them and was surprised by the quality. I think a lot is down to Toby Longworth Who does a great job bringing many of the Space Marine characters to life. Years later, when I became Whovian, and heard they did Who audios, this is the reason I considered checking them out. Because, if they can make stories about post-human supersoldiers bashing their brains out interesting and engaging, they they also make stories about a semi- militant pacifist alien make sense.

After the Dark Shadows movie with Depp came out, I went to see it and said "Comedy? Bah! The original series was a hundred times better" and decided it was finally time to get serious about revisiting the original series in entirety, and ended up buying Dark Shadows DVDs and Googling up all kinds of things - novels, fanfic, convention clips on YouTube, blogs, forums, and finally "Big Finish? What's that?"
On June 10, 2012, I ordered Dark Shadows The Night Whispers and The Crimson Pearl because the first had Jonathan Frid Himself and John Karlen, and the second had the most of amazing cast of characters. I was skeptical at first that anything else Big Finish did could have turned out so good, but slowly my curiosity got the better of me and I'm glad it did.

In 2007 they were giving away the old cassette tapes of the very first stories for free at a convention - my memory is they had Whispers of Terror, Spectre of Lanyon Moor, Winter for the Adept, The Apocalypse Element, The Fires of Vulcan, Shadow of the Scourge, The Holy Terror and The Mutant Phase.
