Do you think with the whole plot and title of The Destination Wars, is that a hint (intended or not) that the Master might be the War Chief?

Where's Magnus when you need him? Magnus has become such a legend that I genuinely can't remember whether he was for the 'Everyone-is-the-Master' thing or against it... The man has become a myth, with only so many grains of the true self remaining in the tale...

He's a Time Lord. He walks in eternity. Which must make it a nightmare to work out what order the mail comes and goes in. And I am just as keen as you Timelord007 to get my hands on the actual CDs for this excellent first volume! Cast piccies? Writers' notes? Hope so. It must be an early email you got like mark687 said. Just rarely the dispatch email server does something unusual - my favourite was I got an email announcing they had that day sent me 'The Time Machine'... two weeks after the CDs arrived, appropriately enough for that release.

I'm not particularly a fan of the theory that they're one and the same Time Lord, even though I've seriously contemplated it a couple of times (you never know, BF already crushed my S6b dreams with The Black Hole, although that isn't enough proof in my books anyways). It's just that at one point in part four I got that impression. Which is probably just me, but you know XD Oh, well, I guess that means no-one else did.

I think if he had you would absolutely remember.

I'm one of the folks who wholeheartedly believed it for a while. I'm still not completely convinced he's not. But it was the way he defended his position that was the issue, plus having The Monk and I don't know who else also be the Master is where it all went complete overboard for me.

I really did enjoy these. I gave them a second listen while I was working away in the office yesterday. Just as a curio I bunged the Pilot episode on between the two stories so I could contrast the performances. They don't actually sound much like the original cast but I certainly got the feel of the characters from the plays. I'm always a bit wary of recasting, wondering if I can get my own preconceptions but this felt just right to me. I think I enjoyed them even more second time around. Can't wait for some more.

The problem was that he insisted not just that they were the same, but that he was objectively right and this had been the intention of all the producers and writers since the start. I like the idea of the War Chief being the Master because I think it fits nicely, but I don't think "Hey, let's bring back the War Chief" was what they were thinking when they cast Delgado.

For what it's worth, The Black Hole only defines placement for The Two Doctors. It does not account for The Three Doctors or The Five Doctors, and, in fact, The Five Doctors must itself take place in 6B because Two knows that Jamie and Zoe had their memories erased. Additionally, the Action in Exile comics still firmly take place post-War Games, so there's your 6B right there as well. In addition to that one PDA.

Anyway, I don't recall if I actually commented on the stories. I loved both, but thought The Destination Wars was a hair or two better. Big Finish gets to take my money on yet another series of releases.
Am I going to have to give up occasionally dining out at some point? My wine and bourbon budget? Oh dear....
