Class Hmmm. Not sure the *entire* series deserved a follow-up, but bits certainly did. Not telefantasy, but what about - "Grass" (cancelled by BBC3 apparently in favour of BBC1's Godawful "Green Green Grass", which a similar initial idea) "Border Cafe" (hell, it deserves a DVD release, but that hasn't happened)

Brimstone The Others The Dresden Files seconded The Others was great (and that cliffhanger....!) Brimstone was getting more interesting at the end and I enjoyed Dresden Files

"No Heroics" (but, then, you can hardly expect them to give a funny sitcom on ITV a *first* series, let alone a second)
And, from long, long, again, Children's BBC's "FLIP". Nobody else remembers it, but it was great. Especially the Lotsa Proper Tea Company episode.

Not a second series, but rather a fourth: Dark Matter.
I've loved this series (though I must admit that I've yet to see Season 3), and I'm sad to hear that it's been cancelled (and sadder still that it's taken me nearly 2 months to notice!). It was great, about a close as we're likely to get to a modern Blake's 7 (outside of Firefly), and it's a shame that there won't be any more.

Agreed. And not to give anything away, but series 3 ended on a cliffhanger, too.

I’m sure @omega will agree with me on this one.
Green Lantern TAS. It was tons of fun to watch, but sadly couldn’t sell enough toys to be considered for renewal.

Besides Firefly, I'm going to add my support to - B5: Crusade
- Green Lantern: TAS
Neither series got a decent start, although Crusade was definitely "noted" to death by the network. Green Lantern almost has to be an animated series to appear on television, but launching the series with the Red Lanterns was definitely a mistake. I think DC is too keen to push to "current" GL stories that they rush right past all the important character and history building needed to lay a proper foundation for an extended series. If they want a long-running series, the show has to be written like a long-running series, without jumping ahead. All the GL projects thus far have suffered from this problem. And why hasn't anyone mentioned:
Definitely would have loved at least one more season of this on television. <sigh>

The show did a great job of making the mythos accessible while offering much for those well versed it it. The second half with the Manhunters harkened more to older material. If it didn't start with the Red Lanterns then we'd have gotten much less Razer, a great character. Him and Aya are two characters who could have easily crossed over into the comics proper (Aya and the Interceptor appeared in a few pages in the last story arc before New 52 shook things up).

Dresden Files suffered for being 10 years too early, if made now it’d fit in with the other shows like Flash/Supergirl/etc that mixes a deep mythology with pretty people being pretty and witty dialogue.
