Just finished this set for the second time and I don't think there's a dud on it. Everyone gives everything and I think the opener in particular was very strong. Ten out of ten for Louise and John who give their roles everything and it's nice to see that a character you are supposed to route for in Anne can be quite unlikable in places.
If there is a Series Four sometime it would be great to see what comes next.

3.1 Under Glass by Roy Gill
Adam is moving on with his life, but a new relationship tests him in unexpected ways. Anne's dealings with a gallery lead her to a macabre exhibit and its owner's even more macabre fate. Meanwhile, Morag tries desperately to send a warning... Ambition has a price, and what is trapped will not stay trapped forever...
So begins the final? Series ,though i hope not ,although its now three years later (though it continues in audiobook form and not with the new dynamic). From memory this was more about the characters. But hey ho here we go...First of all we have the wonderful rich Roberta Taylor as Mrs Kirkland...great start right away.
what I love about this series is two not Scottish leads and the setting of Edinburgh which has a totally different feel to my hometown of Glasgow .The last time i listened to this was on a day trip through to our Capital city wandering parts of the city off the beaten tourist trap.
Adam has moved on slightly since his last set of stories and is even contemplating a romantic interest. The Chemistry between him and Anne is still strong. Morag continues with being cryptic she isn’t your usual straight to the point Scot 😂 Roy Gill is so good at these Omega dramas...👍👍

3.2 Let Us Play by Natasha Gerson
Anne is called by an old acquaintance at Glasgow University, concerned about student welfare. An online developer is employing young people to work on new apps, but their screen-time is having disturbing side-effects. Soon, Adam is caught in a deadly and addictive game. One where the unwary player has much more to lose than a life…
Onto story 2..... Cryptic Morag really just needs to be more clear in her commands would save a lot of time.Anyways this episode we are off to my hometown of Glasgow.well thankfully they got the weather right. The great thing is the variety of threats in this series Natasha Gerson brings us supernatural technology.I really like Jamie Newalls vocal and obviously so do BF.There is a part in this story that i love where prayer is actually used and more importantly used as a weapon to defeat evil. This actually never happens in supernatural tales i found it refreshing. all the while the Omega are working away in the background almost divided against themselves as evil always does in the end

3.3 Phantom Pregnancy by Louise Jameson
Doyle presents Anne with a psychic prodigy and takes a special interest in her progress. But Adhara is a vulnerable young woman, far from home, and Adam has concerns over Department 7's duty of care. As Adhara's condition becomes apparent, Adam's health declines. Only Morag knows the true connection - can she reach out and save her friend?
This is Louises show really and another good story and actually penned by herself (can’t say i really enjoyed her Doctor Who script )But i must say she writes for this series very well indeed and for an actor to pen herself in shall we say a not so flattering way is great there’s a certain something to her in this episode that reveals a certain cold, scientific facet to her and i liked that she did that am kind of sad we have the one episode to go on the relisten and knowing we didn’t get a 4th set.Something makes me wish BF would commit to a certain number of series and have faith 😜

3.4 Drawn to the Dark by Phil Mulryne
Something is buried under Edinburgh's streets. A dangerous legacy, centuries old. Anne tries to protect the innocents, while Morag and Adam sense a darkness, long-imprisoned, on the verge of release. But they are not the only ones to feel it. Drexel has returned, and he plans to rise up more powerful than ever before...
Phil delivers the goods in this finale to series two.The first time i listened to this i was actually in Edinburgh on a wander. It is nice to take train from Glasgow and in under an hour you are in a totally different environment even better if i get to Edinburgh and its raining 😂 By time you reach this final set we actually see a dynamic shift where Adam is the empathic one and Anne is more “Department 7” In human form.Louise and John are actually very fine actors and we all know John is a standout writer but Louise has also become a good scriptwriter too for this show and practice makes perfect. By the final story we have an Adam fully accepting of what he can do and sense of what dangers are in store for him and then he has in the events of the story and of where Department 7 is headed that he needs to make life changing decisions. This story also completes part of the ongoing series arc No Spoilers 😂. With That relisten standouts are our two leads and Gunnar Cauthery and Natasha Gerson(the original series authors daughter)as the cryptic Morag. Anyways Great relisten and a standout show for BF and though i would love a fourth series i would LOVE audiobooks including Adam and Anne .

Under Glass by Roy Gill
A great opener, Under Glass really evokes a mythical edge to the world of Omega Factor that felt like a nice variation. I was surprised by the time jump, but I liked that it set up Omega’s takeover to be a more gradual one. And boy does Alan Cox do sinister well!
Let Us Play by Natasha Gerson
Unfortunately, I found this to be a bit unpolished all around. Gerson delivers some really interesting ideas, however the script feels one draft away from being excellent. The sound design is fine, but Abbadon is mostly unintelligible when speaking, which causes issues when trying to follow around. And to be honest, no one felt to be giving much more than just solid performances, going through the motions almost. Considering how strong Omega Factor is overall, this was disappointing.
Phantom Pregnancy by Louise Jameson
Much like Let Us Play, this story is quite weak for Omega Factor as a range. The ideas are fine, but don’t seem all that original imo, and once again, our core cast seems to be a little off, which is weird as Jameson wrote this one as well. Here’s hoping the finale is much stronger.
Drawn to the Dark by Phil Mulryne
And closing off the third volume is a belter of a finale, which is a nice relief after being disappointed in the middle two stories. Bringing together the strands of the set with precision, and a suitably creepy case to lead into the wider arc is supported by some stellar performances from everyone involved. And finally, I must mention once more how wonderful the sound design is here, perfect for late night listening.
