Who's going to sit up tomorrow night for the results? Nope. I have a horrible feeling that despite all the lies the Tories are gonna win.

Nope. I have a horrible feeling that despite all the lies the Tories are gonna win. Oh I do hope so. Yes, I'll be one of the "vile" individuals voting Tori ! I hope they lose. I am a member of the Tory party and have always supported them in the past but since they party has been taken over by xenophobic little Englanders and led by a narcissistic charlatan the best outcome for the country will be a hung parliament. The only Tories to emerge from the last 3 years with any credit are Dominic Grieve, David Gauke, John Major, etc.
However I suspect the Tories will win, brexit it will happen, the new trade deals will not materialise, Scotland and NI will leave the UK and in 10-20 years' time the rump of the UK (England and Wales) will re-apply for EU membership and get back in on much worse terms than the UK currently enjoys. But that doesn't matter - so long as Boris gets to achieve his childhood ambition of being "king of the world", the rest of us can go hang for all he cares.
I don't think you're vile - I just think you've been hoodwinked by the snake oil salesmen who sold brexit on a false prospectus.
Former Tory supporter Peter Oborne puts it much better than I could

Hello again. Due to my medication, I shall try to listen to it on radio 4 but will no doubt fall asleep. The consequences of a large Tory majority will be devastating for certain communities and groups of people. A small Tory minority will hopefully lead to more Parliamentary scrutiny. If Labour loses this vote of confidence in their ability to run the country, then we need Labour to ask itself some very serious questions. We desperately need a decent opposition, a challenging, interrogative element in Parliament.
A Johnson administration can in five years, cause a lot of damage to an already weakened country. I hope I'm wrong, I hope that he will bring the UK through this Brexit process united, start to invest properly in education, support the NHS and in five years we can say he did most of what he said and the UK is better for his leadership. Unfortunately, in my gut, I have a very bad feeling about things... VOTE TOMORROW and I'll see you on the other side

I've deleted my recent posts for the same reason I went a long time without posting on this thread. Nothing really worth saying. (Sorry if that makes for 'phantom quotes' here and there though.)

For what it's worth, I've just returned after voting. It's the busiest turnout I've seen in 15 years living here, especially noteworthy because the weather is appalling. We'll see what happens. Wouldn't it be lovely if ...

Genuinely, a similar thought occurred to me when I was posting. I didn't know whether to finish of the sentence, or ...
... It would be interesting in the results of the election were delayed for 18 months!

Or it could just be a higher turnout, whatever that might mean

The fact people have a proper drive to vote in this election. No matter the result, everyone is having their say.

Hello again.
Just voted. Disappointed to see neither an Elmo nor like at Thanet in 1965 someone dressed in a Dalek costume outside the polling station!

I voted earlier - still a perfectly civil act, despite the fashion to verbally abuse or slander those who have differing opinions to oneself, that a minority have done so vociferously this campaign. The Space Time Visualiser, meanwhile, has incoming images of one of the candidates, the first from 10 PM after hearing news of the exit polls: And the second image, seven hours later at 5 AM as reality kicks in:

Just got back from voting. Even if I don’t get my desired outcome, I’ve had my say, and I can’t do much more than that.
