Holy cow! This will probably be my first DoRS purchase, if only for the triumphant return of Nev Fountain.

Excellent news, I was literally just wondering when Volume 3 was going to get announced, truth be told I wasn't a huge fan of River on TV (or perhaps more accurately how she was utilized in the Matt Smith era- I thoroughly enjoyed the Libary 2 parter and Husbands Of River Song and Kingston's performance was always enjoyable but I found her backstory a little convoluted and over the top-BF has reigned in the character and made it work much better for me) but I've been very impressed by the work BF has been doing with the character, will definitely be getting this (it's amazing the mere presence of McGann in a sole episode in the first set persuaded me to follow the whole range...)
Interesting to See Kovarian return (I guess that puts an end to those stupid 'Kovarian' is River reincarnated theories...), although it's exciting to see River interact with the Classic Doctors there's always the worry that their presence might be too distracting/overbearing, I felt 6+7 in Volume 2 were a tad overused and I'm hoping as this range continues they will take River in different directions, away from being too reliant on tying in with the other Who ranges.

Lovely jubbly. Ticks the right boxes for me; the Fifth Doctor, a Kovarian rematch and a great writing lineup. And it's retaining its now annual New Year slot!

Finally! I wasn't too worried that they hadn't announced anything regarding River's series, because they said in the extras for DC4 that they had lots of things planned for River, but I was getting a little impatient so it's good to get the first details.
Five and Kovarian! Should be an exciting box set.

I take it no bundle option this time means no Churchill 3 and no Classic Doctors, New Monsters 3?
If I thought there was, I would hold off buying

Huh... is it just me that's been a little disappointed with stuff that's been announced recently? I loved series 2 of River Song and liked series 1, but as I said around the release of series 2, I was starting to get fed up of The Doctor turning up in these and I'm not particularly excited for him to be in the one. And I'm not sure that I need to be reminded of Doctor Who series 6...
On the plus side, I can't remember the last time I heard something by Jacqueline Rayner, so I'm looking forward to that.

Might jump onboard with this set, been meaning to look into Big Finish's River Song. Kovarian was underused so she's a nice bonus (she's one of the good things to come from the Silence arc that was then summarily left on the wayside), plus it might be nice to learn more about her character (her hatred of the Doctor seemed way more personal than simply 'he might start a Time War in the future').

I loved Vol. 1 and still think it's one of the best things Big Finish ever produced, but I found Vol. 2 (in which River is mostly relegated to a supporting character) disappointing. This new volume has my interest piqued, primarily because of the involvement of Nev Fountain.

I'm a little disappointed we aren't getting a River and Benny team up yet, but the fact that Jacqueline Rayner is writing a story for this set has already got me very excited. Her early stories with the Sixth Doctor, as I've said many times before, are amongst my favorite Doctor Who stories in any medium. I'm also glad to see New Fountain's writing, too. I didn't care much for his last hour long story in The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield Volume 01, but that's only one story out of three that I've heard from him that I've ever felt that way.
If Madame Kovarian's returning, though, I have to wonder if that also mean the Silence will be appearing as well?

Good mix of writers and I note the inexorable progression back through the Doctor's incarnations. Tom next?

It seems inevitable doesn't it... but I wonder if she might guest in his Fourth Doctor Adventures rather than the other way around?

Great news for those who like River, but personally I'd much rather have a Lives of Captain Jack Volume 2.
