I haven't seen a post about this yet, so FYI Big Finish has discounts on stories featuring K9 until 23:39 on Monday 25th. The discounted stories include numerous Gallifrey and Fourth Doctor Adventures stories and a few from the main range, Companion Chronicles, novel adaptations and Shada.
I'm sure people will be firing away with recommendations soon, but to get things started, can anyone comment on the three discounted novel adaptations: The Romance of Crime, The English Way of Death and The Well-Mannered War? Any good? (No non-hidden spoilers please!)

Thanks for redirecting - yes, 'Offer' threads are 'news' and go under 'Big Finish' rather than the specific ranges. Usually... Easily missed for a new member who isn't familiar with where threads most usually live on the forum. And I missed it too but then I just homed on the words 'Special Offers' and 'K9' from a glance down the home page!

Whoops, sorry, I didn't think to look on the other board (having seen previous special offer threads posted on this one).

Yay for K9.
I pick up Requiem for the Rocketmen and The Well Mannered War.
I haven't listened to enough 4th Doctor.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I shall listen and see if I want the next part.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. I shall listen and see if I want the next part. I'd listen before the sale runs out on Sunday (EDIT: Monday, thanks Mark!) then because I'm fairly sure you will... (It's a stonkingly good four-parter, spread across two titles and among the very, very best 4DAs!)

But otherwise your correct the best stories of that season.

I might go for Shada. I've been meaning to pick that one up for a while.

Think I'll use this to complete the Fourth Doctor novel adaptations with Well-Mannered War. May go for some 4DAs later in the weekend.

I might go for Shada. I've been meaning to pick that one up for a while. It's excellent, definitely worth getting (possibly controversial opinion here, I actually prefer the McGann version to the incomplete 70's serial)

The three novel adaptations are all fantastic, definitely get them, Tom Baker on great form, wonderfully atmospheric, Douglas Adams esque stories and the 2 hour runtime is a welcome change from the quick pacing of the 4DA's.

The animated webcast is on the Tom Baker Shada DVD (not sure if it's on the special edition or standard) and I think you can still watch it on one of the BBC websites, from what I remember the audio isn't that different to the webcast, beyond some reworked dialogue.

I was put off the Tom Baker Shada DVD because they didn't go for the Ian Levine animation, and really the animated Paul McGann webcast should have been the main feature instead of the Tom Baker linking material version. Might just stick with the audio version since there's an animated version coming soon anyway.
