A pet peeve I have with myself is having intense feelings of self doubt in regards to my own creative ability and worrying about all the external factors that I can’t control in regards to getting opportunities with my creative projects. I feel like I have a laser focus on exactly what I want in regards to my own projects which is both good and terrible at the same time.

Being a working writer, it crops up a fair bit. Best thing to do, as my brother always says, is forget about what you can't control. Que sera sera. Focus on what you can - your creating. There you and only you are the boss.

I think it’s because I feel so passionate about my project and the way I want it, I get nervous of anything that could possibly stop it from happening the way I want it to.

When a fanbase makes something I.e. a character or an episode out to be worse than it is.

Warning - old woman seriously going off on one... may cause offence...
[rant] ARGH! People who misuse that gosh-awful new word Stay-Cation. (should be banned IMHO) What meaning of stay do you not understand? Look it up. To continue in a place or condition, to not leave, not move away. It does not mean pack your bags and travel to another location, especially one where you promptly start to whine about the lack of hospitality staff available to do your every whim, or the empty shelves on the shops because other people need to eat too! Depending on your generation, your grandparents or great-grandparents had a proper word for travelling from home to spend days away in another location. A HOLIDAY! Even if it was 'just' going down the Old Kent Road from east London to the hop fields and orchards, and staying on a farm for a while bringing in the harvests in return for bed, board and a bit of spare cash. A 'proper' holiday (or vacation if you insist) does not involve getting into a aluminium tube with engines on and flying to another country. That's just a con generated by the holiday industry's advertising departments. (Other consumer cons created by businesses to create fake demand are available and have been for decades. Engagement rings for one. Don't get me started now, we'll be here all day.) ARGH! GRR! [/rant] Thank you for letting me get that off my bosom. Right, kettle on now.

I have to say that stay-cation does not bother me as much as vacay. Are we talking baby talk now? Why does everything have to be abbreviated?

People who own the limited editions of the Doctor Who Blu-Ray box sets yet still buy the standard re-releases.

People who own the limited editions of the Doctor Who Blu-Ray box sets yet still buy the standard re-releases. Perhaps they view the LEs as a form of financial asset - to be disposed of as mint with a huge price-tag at a future date to those who missed out...
(Or perhaps, like those of us who remember the advent of Cassette tapes alongside vinyl LPs, who made a tape copy from the LP to play in the certain knowledge that at some point the magnetic tape would commit suicide in our portable tape deck, leaving us with an only played once master disc on our shelves to make another copy from? In which case someone should explain to them that digital doesn't do that...)

Restaurants that are too quiet and barely play any music and you feel like everyone is listening in on your conversation.

Too low tv volume especially watching event tv or movies, if it’s not proper surround sound where I feel like the characters are right in the room with me it’s not loud enough for me . I have noticed when I watch tv at other people’s houses they always have it so quiet I have to strain to hear and it’s very difficult for me to pay attention. It drives me crazy!I can barely pay attention at all if it’s at a low volume. Maybe I’m just weird though, growing up and currently my parents and I always have the tv and music so loud you can sometimes actually feel the walls vibrate and often could hear it from outside the house. Does anyone else need their tv at a loud volume in order to pay attention?
