I like how the narration told us some of the Brigadier's thoughts in this one. And the actor's multilayered performance {Spoiler} Doing the physical voice of one character, the personality of the other, who's possibly trying to act as if he's the first character, and then all of it in reverse as well.

Listened to this one a while ago, loved it. Very clever idea with an excellent performance.

I just came across this thread, listened to this story a while ago. It was a clever idea, and very well done.

So, this will now be part of the Masterful limited edition. I must have been eligible to get it when it was released, but it does not sound familiar. Does anyone recall when it was actually released? With what main range title would it have been available?
Edit: found it on the Doctor Who wiki - "A reading of the story by Duncan Wisbey was released free to subscribers whose subscription included Legend of the Cybermen in June 2010" And now I can see it in my account on the Big Finish site.

Listened to this for the first time today, thanks to Masterful. Really liked it, low key and a lot of fun. I liked that the synopsis is essentially the prologue to the story too.

Ooh, forgot about this one. I can't exactly say I've listened to many Short Trips yet, maybe 20 or so in total, but this one was definitely among my favorites. I really appreciated how it was more of a character piece -- it feels like it's more about the Master's friendship with the Doctor, rather than some evil plan, which was very refreshing.
