The meta-crisis Doctor was a cop-out for how to resolve the whole "Rose in love with the Doctor" story line. That said, I loved Journey's End, and I found the ending and what happened to Donna and the Doctor very moving. (I wasn't that moved by Rose and meta-crisis Doctor scene at the end, I have to say, as I didn't love the whole Doctor and Rose "love story" very much.) And I have to say I've read some godawful fan fic set in Pete's world that turns meta-crisis Doctor into an abusive bastard. (I've also read some excellent fan fic based around meta-crisis Doctor, Rose, and Jackie, as well as an alt-Donna.) So I'm going to believe that this will be a good, enjoyable story, unless proven otherwise.

By then I was happy to have any storyline which resulted in Rose being placed in an alternate and absolutely definitely sealed reality... and her 'family background' stories just got in the way for me. not to mention the 'luurve story'. (Sorry Rose fans, but River is much more his type! ) On the other hand, Donna was easily my favourite new series companion (before Bill+Nardole turned up and showed how great a companion combination can be); her family background 'clicked' for me and added to the stories. And such a sad ending, to lose even the memory of such a special time.

Ill be so happy if these short trips have Meta-Ten and Rose split up with him then taking Jackie on as his companion and flying away in the Tardis. Thousands of TenRose haters will punch the air and take a nice long sip of fandom tears.

Erases every bit of good for Donna that came from her travels and erases every tiny piece of character development she got. All so Rose could get her twu wuv!

I like Camille Coduri and I'm always interested in exploring parallel realities like Pete's World, so I reckon I'll probably like these stories. It'll be interesting to see how much Rose features in these stories - I'm not the biggest fan of her character after Series 1 and I don't particularly like the relationship between Ten and Rose, but Big Finish is good about changing my mind about characters, so we'll see.

These ones don't really grab my interest - but I have never liked Jackie all that much and have always wished she would have been shot by the Auton when she was out shopping in Rose.

I'll take a Jackie Tyler story with any Doctor. I can't wait for this! In theory Jackie Tyler could meet an earlier Doctor than 9 before she met 9 and the whole 'Strange man in my bedroom' thing would make sense. If she met the Fourth Doctor she'd assume later on that the Ninth Doctor is a different person entirely given they don't look alike.

In theory, any number of past Doctors/companions/villains/monsters from any and every era could meet up. There's no particular reason why they should though. I'm glad that BF have shown a certain resistence to over-doing the classic/nu-who meet-ups before overkill sets in. Once in a while it is great to hear the Eighth Doctor run into a stray Rill, or somesuch, but to have such things happen all the day is just doing it for the sake of doing it - in my view, anyway - and just comes across as the kind of fan-fiction that BF have, for the most part, resisted thus far.

I agree, although I would love to see new series monsters slowly start to appear in the Main Range.

Jackie has actually met the Third Doctor if you believe anything you read in 12 Doctors of Christmas.

"I saw down the pub you see, and there was this circus clown passed out with only a bottle of ginger beer on the table. Talk about a lightweight. This girl who looked like she'd come out of the 80's came in, groaned, and said something about only a diet of carrot juice. Must be one of those health fads, like Richard Simmons and his aerobics. Now once upon a time I'd have gotten my lycra on and- why are you giving me that look, I was young once Young and slim. Fine, healthy. Okay then, perhaps I could have restrained myself a bit. But back to Ronald McDonald."
"Then there was the woman, all in black leather. Like summit out of the Avengers, you know, that Peel girl. Must have been some kind of science fiction convention and she'd gotten lost. And Mr Jenkins down the hall? His curtains were fluttering. You know who he was looking at. But what really got my heart beating was the man who was with 'er. He was strapping and gorgeous, but his grandfather came and they left. So disappointing."

I'm just saying 9 could still be a strange man in her bedroom if Jackie met an earlier Doctor because she wouldn't recognise him as the same man.

I'm just saying 9 could still be a strange man in her bedroom if Jackie met an earlier Doctor because she wouldn't recognise him as the same man. Or its just Jackie trying it on with the Ninth Doctor. She's in a dressing gown, so no doubt her next tactic would have been to open it up. She does retain a fascination with the Doctor's anatomy, when she finds out the Doctor has two hearts she asks if there's anything else he has two of.
