I'd love a box set which doesn't have any of the various versions of The Doctor in it. I feel like River Song has enough colors as a character to sustain one, if not more, box set of solo adventures. Having Alex Kingston as your lead doesn't hurt either.

I think we will see a solo River set, most probably Series 5. Big Finish don’t seem to have an aversion to solo River stories, exactly half of the stories so far have been River in her own. And the two most acclaimed stories from the first two sets haven’t featured the Doctor. I just think they’re getting the older Doctors on board whilst they can.
And it isn’t as if it’s simple box ticking. We’ve had different uses out of the Doctors so far that doesn’t seem to show signs of stopping in the third set, at least.

I've no idea what this means (but I think it's more than just confirmation that vol 5 won't have Tom Baker in it...)

Perhaps a different incarnation of River for Volume 5? I know people have speculated this as a future possibility given the cast list for Volume 3...

I'd love more Diary of River Song but hope for more solo stuff without other Doctors or existing characters. I hope this mean two sets a year will become the new normal.

I really want river to join forces with as many classic companions as possible in an archeology off with benny.

Post-Library but still untrusting 10.
And if Smith/Capaldi...well..... mid-high-life w/11, and break-from Derillium 11.

I really want rivet to join forces with as man's classic companions as possible in an archeology off with benny. River + Leela would provide a lot for a writer to play around with. Or River + Tegan, for the sake of sarcasm/etc.

What I do think would be cool to hear - and I don’t think for a second it’ll happen - in the fourth set would be to have the Fourth Doctor in every story but at different points in his timeline. Season 12 (perhaps the Time Ring is interfered wish somehow?), post-Deadly Assassin, post-Invasion of Time and Season 18.
I think that would be an interesting way of incorporating the Doctor into the range effectively and differently. And I think it’d be great for River to see how much the Doctor changes within one incarnation, never mind across a dozen of them!

Big Finish are teasing “exciting casting” for Series 5, which they are going to reveal sometime in the near future. I’m wondering if it’s Matt Lucas as Nardole? Or perhaps the crew she’s with in Silence in the Library?
I don’t think it will be a Doctor. Bradley and Treolar they will keep to their own ranges. Same goes for River meeting the Unbound Warner Doctor; that’ll happen in a Benny set.

I don’t think it will be a Doctor. Bradley and Treolar they will keep to their own ranges. Back when they first planned the Bradley stories, I might have agreed. But now DB has officially played the Doctor on telly, I reckon they might be less adverse to using him in other ranges. And Treloar is definitely going out of his own range, as he's already recorded a non-3DA story where he meets {Spoiler} Kate.

Nothing confirmed yet, but apparently Michelle Gomez said at ReGeneration Who that Missy is meeting River Song at some point in the audios. This might be the "exciting casting" for series 5.

Exciting news! Hopefully we'll get a Missy-centric boxset at some point, something along the lines of the War Master.

Yes, that would absolutely be “exciting casting”. I think there’s lots of potential in that, particularly if they take advantage if their Twelfth Doctor era acquisition, with Missy treading the line betweeen good and bad.

Derek Jacobi and Michelle Gomez in their own Two Masters would be brilliant. Doing a Four Masters would be amazing, with Geoffrey Beevers and Derek Jacobi tiring of how ALex MacQueen and Michelle Gomez are behaving. The Doctor will arrive at the end and find they've defeated each other!

Well there has been talk of a suicide squad team up in the Time War - how about The Suicide Sisters - a boxset of bad girls.
Missy The Rani Vienna Salvatori Bernice Summerfield and River Song
