Boy do I miss Alex Macqueen's Master! We haven't heard from him in almost a year and a half. I think I've been going through withdrawal! Yes, I know we are getting the War Master, and I'm thrilled to bits. But that makes me no less impatient to hear the words, "Hello, you!" in a brand new story.
Am I the only one?

I love MacQueen's Master, but we are getting so much Master right now that I don't really miss him. Apart from the fact that we just had a multi-Master episode on TV, we're getting the War Master, and we're getting a brand new Master in the First Doctor Adventures. I'm sure MacQueen will be back before too long.

He’s actually in every story, but he’s disguised.

Those silly rubber masks are even more convincing on audio.

I really liked Macqueen as the Master as well. As long as he fits the story, I'd love BF (heck, and the TV) to use his Master whenever they can.

He is also a really in demand actor. I'm hoping one of the future UNIT box sets will feature him.

Funny so many people posting on this one are Americans....if you lived here you'd hear Alex doing half the voiceovers for TV and radio ads so he's never that far away - not as The Master sure but he's always about. Likewise in Scotland, Siobbhan Redmond does more than her fair share of radio work so I probably hear her more often than any actor at BF.

I'd prefer Alex McQueen to do a box set to a war master set. Not that i'm not looking forward to the War Master but i just think Alex is awesome in the role.

He's probably hanging out with Graeme Garden's also much missed (by me, at least) Meddling Monk.

I hadn’t heard anything from Graeme Garden for awhile, but according to my radio guide he is in the latest series of I am Sorry I Haven’t A Clue - so that is good news. We scould still get a Muddle of Monks with the two Big Finish Meddling Monks.

Yeah, Graeme Garden's Monk is great. I'd love to hear him again.
I'm glad I have some of you in agreement.

to be honest I am not fussed if alex never reprised his version of the master......to comic for my taste....
but it's funny to hear the master doing the voice over for wren kitchens...I cannot help imagining that the master is using them as a smoke screen to fund his world domination plans.....

Crazy to think The Two Masters was just about 18 months ago now. Time really does fly.

Yeah, Graeme Garden's Monk is great. I'd love to hear him again. I'm glad I have some of you in agreement. Definitely! I'm not sure if 'The Goodies' was ever shown on your TV (expect it was), but the surreal, wonderful series (like a live-action cartoon) was massive in the UK in the 1970s. (Example: a Yukon gold-rush spoof involving clotted-cream mining in Cornwall and a shoot-out with tomato ketchup bottles from the local cafe. Or 'Kitten Kong' - says it all really, huge and furry and ends up on the Post Office Tower.) And if a story needed one of them to be a villain, Graeme Garden was that comedy villain. So for me he is the perfect Monk and I do hope he'll be back to his old habit one day. (Oh, The Two Monks! Please do this BF.)

Phone 083-1234, anything thing, any time ...it's a bit vague, isn't it? A classic part of my childhood, and possibly one of the best in terms of TV ( Doctor Who taking top spot, of course )
