DOCTOR WHO - SHORT TRIPS » 8.06. ERASUREReleased April 2018 (Download only)SynopsisDoctor Who: Short Trips Monthly is a series of new short stories read by an original cast member.
Release #42 is a Fourth Doctor and Adric story told by Narvin on GallifreyThe Celestial Intervention Agency, a shadowy, unspoken of part of the Time Lord hierarchy. Beloved and loathed in equal measure by various Presidents and High Councils the millennias over. But they serve a very important function: they keep the time lines safe and clear - they do the darker, dirtier jobs that most Time Lords would prefer not to know even need doing. CIA Sub-Coordinator Narvin has always taken his oath to uphold the Worshipful Laws of Gallifrey very seriously. But when he is sent on a mission to investigate the planet Bellascon, even he hasn't reckoned with the force of nature that is the Fourth Doctor, who has - one might say - his own way of dealing with things, and his own views on people like Narvin. But somehow the two must overcome their instincts and work together to stop the web of time being erased forever... Written By: Gary Russell Directed By: Gary Russell CASTSeán Carlsen (Narvin)

Can't recall the last time Gary wrote an audio (I think it was a story from the Benny box set Missing Persons), and the angle on this has so much potential!

Love that they are experimenting a bit more with the possibilities this range offers what with this, the Time War releases, the New Series Doctors ones.

Fourth Doctor and Adric! With Narvin!
Delightful. I was just thinking the other day that it's a shame Adric never made it to Gallifrey and now here he is interacting with the CIA. We'll have to see if they end up forgetting the adventure or if the Eighth Doctor did know Narvin in Dark Eyes after all.

Gary's written some class stuff, but that made me cringe. Based on a comment on Facebook there was a big effort to evoke seasons 1-3 of Gallifrey, including getting Lee Binding to do the cover.

I'm assuming you're referencing the upcoming Short Trip?

I’m curious how this will fit in, since the Doctor didn’t know Narvin in Dark Eyes. But since this is both the Doctor and the CIA are involved here, I’m sure they’ll come up with something.

Having heard all of Gallifrey, bring on more Narvin! Seeing the Fourth Doctor and Adric through Narvin's eyes should be a treat considering how by the book he usually is.

That cameo at the end by Lalla Ward was a pleasant surprise. Also interesting to hear how fondly Narvin spoke of Leela.
The framing sequence must take place between Series 6 and Enemy Lines (if you know your Gallifrey you’ll understand). The story must take place prior to Neverland, as Narvin was sent by Vansell.
