I don't know whether it is necessary to spoiler this, but I will anyway {Spoiler} When Owen meets up with the two 'muppets' (as he calls them) that conned him into buying them cigarettes from the Off Licence, listen closely to the dialogue. This is the second time he meets them, toward the end. I missed it too, and for a second you were talking about Ianto and Owen, so I was really confused. I've re-read what I've put and you're right. Sorry for the confusion. I wasn't referring to Ianto and Owen. I'm beginning to wish I hadn't mentioned this

Loved this story. Nice writing by Gareth David-Lloyd and loved the interaction between Ianto and Owen.

Listened to this one earlier - thought the opening part with Owen completely miserable in the pissing rain was very Withnail & I. Was half expecting a "We came on holiday by mistake..." It's the funniest, loosest Torchwood audio yet. When the lassie in the pub thinks Owen is asking to take her "up the arsey"....very silly, very funny. The first half really is Carry On Torchwood in places - in a good way. Gareth's got a really good voice for Ianto's dialogue and character but he really gives Owen some of the best comedy the range has had. The drunk acting when they stagger back into the B&B was terrific. It's a good half hour in before the "threat" reveals itself and even then it's not a bad guy or monster as we normally get them. There's no wicked creature here which is great as that might jar with the rest of the story. I can see this being a bit goofy and saucy for some but it's a lovely change of pace.

Just finished this one. Brilliant character writing by Gareth David-Lloyd and he and Burn Gorman play Ianto and Owen really well. A nice story that explores their relationship whilst also being really funny. Can't wait to listen to more of David-Lloyd's stories. 9/10.

I have listening to a lot of Torchwood lately. The Torchwood main range (like any Big Finish range)is a mixed bag for me. But overall, I have found this range really good. The Last Beacon is excellent. I really enjoy Gareth David Lloyd's scripts. And that scene in the cave with the 2 guys hahaha. Gosh that was funny!
