But what if the Daleks by being mass murders kept others from becoming mass murderers? So by stopping Daleks in their tracks and annihilating them completely you've then allowed other genocidal maniacs to develop and have a free hand? Committing genocide to stop genocide doesn't make any sense logically, as if races committing genocide are evil, then committing genocide to stop them is equally evil. First of all, evil the way you have it here is an absolute, which means evil isn't a moral judgement at all, it's just a thing that exists out there in the universe somewhere, but that's not what evil is, evil is a moral judgement, you, I and everyone get to choose what is evil, that choice means there is no logical paradox as you state it. Secondly, even if you choose to say it's all evil, you still get to say if one evil is more evil than the other, again, a moral judgement, you can still make the lesser of two evils your choice. So basically, there's good genocidal acts (when done against Daleks) and bad genocidal acts (when done by Daleks)... Phew, I'm glad Daleks aren't real now!

I know your being light hearted here, but I do want to stress that that is not even close to what I said.

"Do I have the right?" Nope. Not in a billion years when the stars have gone to dust and the planets fall still would I ever have the right to that action. If I had the choice? It would be so difficult to say, the Doctor and Sarah both make very good points for both sides of the argument. One looking at it from the perspective of the Nuremberg Rallies, the other from the perspective of a man about to put his palm against an infant's neck in his crib. Do you decide that all life is sacred, even that of monsters? Do you forgo your morals to crush a devastating horror? What does that make you, the killer, to forgo your values and become just as bad as those you fight against? To save potentially billions of innocent lives from destruction...?
It really is an impossible decision to make. It could go either way. Moreover, once it's made either way -- could I live with it? We never see the ultimate fate of the Daleks, so... Hmm.
