Just pre-ordered with HMV! Really looking forward to this one, so many extras that appeal.
It's always great to get some new commentaries, especially with that lineup on Revelation. In Conversation is a highlight of the range, so getting three on this set is a real treat, Michael Grade's will be very interesting I should think. The location driven features have always been a bit inconsistent for me, but with Colin and Nicola being such large personalities, I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun. Great lineups on Behind the Sofa and finally I am shocked about A Fix with Sontarans, more so the commentary.
Surprised they didn't take the opportunity to do 25 minute edits of the season. I'd have thought that would've been an obvious choice - relatively cheap yet substantial - and something I'd have liked to have seen.

I cannot wait for the hazing of Timelash from Davison and Janet personally Its so cool they included Timeslip on audio and the Colin Years VHS, which was a very different format to the others, more a proto BTS feature.

Such a shame Paul and Jacs are gone "I was giving my Best Richard III there! Darling it was Sun, Sea, Sangria and and another of things beginning with S" Regards mark687

Paul's ham) style of actin will ever come back?" Paul without missing a beat "I didn't realise it had ever gone away.." Jacs....well, take a shot every time she says "DAAAARLING" in her commentary for Two Docs. You will be in hospital. Wonderfully she uses it for about 1,000 different uses. To express sorrow, appreciation, nostalgia, love, loss....it is quite something!

Have to admit, bit surprised that a certain special feature has made the cut… I hope none of Savile's victims find out about this. Talk about rubbing salt in their wounds. Bad enough the BBC spent decades turing a blind eye to his crimes.

And what does Jenkins talk about without mentioning Saville? Just his fandom for the show, I suppose. Colin has been on record about it too sayin he found Saville very weird and not friendly at all. If only that were the worst one could say of him.. I dunno...I kept my Two Docs with it on it, but I would 100% have understood if it were buried.

Just pre-ordered with HMV! My retailer of choice since Zoom lost their Zoominess. Amazon are just bots and are not the best with fulfillin limited edition orders. Zavvi think release dates are guidance not instruction and Base have cancelled many orders for customers over the years. Nipper and co have my confidence and cash.

Bad enough the BBC spent decades turing a blind eye to his crimes. I think we need to wait and see precisely what they do. I think if they discuss the fallout from the Saville revelations, and how Gareth Jenkins now feels about his appearance, it may be a valuable exercise. I can't imagine that the piece would be shown with all the context completely removed.

We weren't allowed watch anything with him in it when I was growing up. My mother met him a couple of times in the early 1970s and while she didn't know exactly what he was she knew he was a wrong'un. Which is why I never believed all those people who worked with him for years and then claimed to be shocked when the truth came out.

Which is why I never believed all those people who worked with him for years and then claimed to be shocked when the truth came out. And plenty of comedians did bits about it in their acts, not making fun of victims but of a culture that protects predators. Stewart Lee and Jerry Sadowitz way back when were doing it. It wasn't even just "likes em a bit young" - but the specifics about hospitals and corpses and all the REALLY weird stuff. It is a kinda f..ed up world, entertainment - even well before Barrowman, Langley and Clarke - its affected DW. Richard Marsons book has reports (and from Richard himself) about JNT and his partner taking teen boys home for access to sets, memorabilia etc. There is an actor who was a DW regular cast member from the 70s who when I was a teen in the 90s, it was common knowledge he would try it on with young fit lads and was not too fussed about ID. And yeah...those 2 or 3 day cons, drunken bars etc...saw it with my own eyes. Will not slander anyone by name but its well known in fandom and the "then" con community. Not pleasant to think you are just there to meet your heroes and make friends and some are predators usin it as a buffet. Not very pleasant talk for a nice upbeat thread however.
