Interesting thread of tweets from Lee Binding about the history of the packaging and art style before we got the product we all know and love.

Going by the orange backdrop, I would hazard a guess at Bernard Holley...

For those who haven't seen my posts yet. I had the chance to interview Chris Chapman, Who-Doc extraordinaire, with the first half of the interview up now at our website, Apple Podcasts and/or Spotify. This half has some great insights on his early work on Who-Docs, but I can happily say that during the second half, he very kindly shared some information on a couple of his current/upcoming projects for the range.

All I'll do is give a hint. Those who are fans of the Fifth Doctor who both be very happy with one of the series being worked on, even if it includes a less than loved serial.

It's a year since we heard about features for S20 (the 'road trip' feature and filming at the location of 'The King's Demons' for example) so that seems most likely to be first. But I'd argue that S20 contains TWO 'unloved' serials in 'Arc of Infinity' and 'Terminus' so perhaps this is about S21? (Yes 'Warriors of the Deep' I am looking at you, with all three eyes, including the flashing one that shouldn't be... )

(Yes 'Warriors of the Deep' I am looking at you, with all three eyes, including the flashing one that shouldn't be... ) A strategy where The Twin Dilemma gets the Blu-Ray treatment before The Five Doctors, in which they retained all the master tapes and film elements for posterity, is at least one where they are planning to go the distance. To put a positive rationale towards the odds between the two seasons. Notoriously they released the classics as a cluster relatively early in the VHS range and had diminishing returns for the last decade of so. I remember when one release after the other was of the likes of 'Underworld', The Horns of Nimon', 'Time Flight'', 'The Mutants', 'Meglos'..... But then this means that we may be get Seasons 24 & 22 before the likes of Season 13, to keep some of the best for last, as they did with ' Zygons' on DVD.

Finally, news about the next release! Did anyone suggest 8 would be next, though EDIT: apparently news leaked a couple weeks ago when someone spotted a US listing for "Jon Pertwee Season 2" scheduled for February.

Gorgeous artwork as usual. Season 8 is not Pertwee's best but Terror of the Autons, Claws of Axos and The Daemons are really strong stories.

Are PDFs of the booklets included in the US releases. I saw it mentioned once (I think the first one) and not anywhere else. Is there a legit way to get them without buying the blurays from a different region?

So whoever consulted the Talisman of Mercury and did all those other Miss Hawthorne-type things got their prediction right! (Oh they saw it online did they? OK but not very "Devils End" is it... )
Splendid news and for my money it is the best Pertwee season. Consistently enjoyable stories ranging from very good to excellent, the Doctor feeling more at home on Earth with Jo and the whole UNIT family in full swing - and he is the Master and you can't improve on him!
Stunning artwork, as usual. These sets are more beautiful and enticing than an Axon in golden mood (and a lot more reliable in the long run!)
