The Picard show, still untitled, has been picked up by Amazon for all territories outside the US where it will be CBS All Access and Canada where it should be on Space and Crave. Happy with that as I have Prime already so that'll do for me

Funny to remember that when Stewart debuted with The Next Generation, how different the TV landscape was and high-ticket, first run syndication was something of a risk. TV-wise, Next Gen helped opened the door to what we have today although I doubt many people could have imagined what would have flowered out of their experiment. Warp to today and Paramount has set up a Star Trek division. Amazing. When Picard debuts, I will probably pop for CBS All Access.

First pic from Star Trek: Picard. Tells us nothing but still...I'm getting a few chills just seeing P-Stew back as Jean Luc.

In them with Star Trek- I can clearly remember the network here in Australia showing Star Trek: TNG in wrong order, they let out some big spoilers.. There was no SJW online outrage, would have taken too long to write a paper letter of complaint. It involved the death of 1 of the characters if memory serves me correct. Anyway. Picard.. Yes..

There's hardly any of us discussing Disco on here anyway - we'd only have two barely used threads if there was a separate one for STP. Maybe the mods could change this one to "New Star Trek Shows" or something all encompassing.

One thing that throws me a little about the photo: it looks like someone is wearing one of the early DS9/all-VOY jumpsuit type Starfleet uniforms, with the coloured shoulders. Strikes me as a little odd, since those uniforms were phased out during DS9's run.
Of course, it could be that the picture is slightly misleading. It's not like it's a front-on shot, so it could actually be very different.

I kinda hope we see an updated version of those red numbers from All Good Things All time fave Trek uniform for me is a tie - the film outfits from Wrath Of Khan-Undiscovered Country and the grey shouldered latter DS9 and TNG movie outfits.

Absolutely agreed! The Enterprise ones look like an evolution of modern pilot jumpsuits, which makes a degree of sense but they're not especially attractive. And the rest...kind of look like pyjamas.

It does support the suggestion that Picard is retired at the start of the series (and we get our first glimpse of a new uniform - the offspring of late seasons TNG and DS9 and Voyager).

I'm very excited for this show, myself. Havn't been this buzzed about Star Trek in years. I think that IS an updated version of the All Good Things uniform. The collar appears to be integrated with the departmental shoulder swatch, as opposed to the DS9/Voy uniforms where the collar was part of the (grey) undershirt. Turn the rest of the AGT tunic black and you have as much of this uniform as we can see... for the most part. From the shadow on the shoulder it seems that these uniforms retain a variant of the later DS9 uniform's textured shoulder seams, which the AGT uniform lacked.

Looks like a person way in the background might also be in uniform, though that one seems to be in red. If so, it seems like a return to the early DS9 style look. Could also be taking place somewhere where different uniform styles might be expected, such as Starfleet Academy. Whatever the case, it's very exciting to see Trek that takes place after Nemesis. If CBS All Access is serious about pushing a lot of Trek shows, and they seem to be, we may see more of later timeline set series, which would be neat as we've seen very little about the Trek prime timeline after a certain point.

Something I whipped up yesterday:
It’s a bit hard to tell from that one still we have, but it does look like the early DS9 / all of VOY style.
Of course, it could end up not being a Starfleet uniform at all, who knows?

New set photo:
They kind of look like an evolution of the VOY uniforms, except that they have collars that match the shoulder colour, instead of the blue-gray undershirts. I think it’s also the future commbadge, but it’s a bit too blurry to be sure.

I'm really looking forward to seeing "What We Left Behind". DS9 is my favorite of the spin-offs and I'd love to see it get its time in the spotlight for the great work that was done.

Hopefully we get a really great character piece like the one where he goes home after he had been abducted by the Borg (that makes me cry every time). In the picture he looks pretty forlorn... might be about getting older and how that changes your place in society and that fame is not everlasting. Patrick Steward would be amazing in something like this. As long as we wont get another action CGI-fest with lens flares... although I am aware that Steward is rather fond of action scenes, but since he is a little bit older now...
