Ah Mind's Eye This is the 1st and maybe only story in the run where Peri is served better then Erimen
Peri's Dreamscape is simple domesticity but so well played by Nicola Bryant and Thomas Sangster that its compelling and Erimen's perfect Ruler one distracts from it IMO
Mission of the Viyrans I can't stand the Vlyrans or how they work

They locate and expunge viruses, and are willing to go to extreme measure to do so that include erasing all non-Viyran memory of them. That's why they are trying to erase Peri's memory here. The mission also comes up in Patient Zero, Blue Forgotten Planet and the first Charlotte Pollard set.

Mission of the Viyrans I can't stand the Vlyrans or how they work. Yeah, I always thought the Viyrans were overated. I never saw the appeal of them.

Sorry I should've been clearer I understand what they do, I just hate memory eraser and alteration in general.

I know less is more, but some more background on the Viyran's directive and who created them would have gone a long way. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the Time Lords. I did like what was done with them in Dark Eyes 2.

Just catching up with the listen-through. I really enjoyed hearing this again, good solid and even sometimes moving story but I wish there had been another scene because it felt like it ended rather abruptly somehow. Kudos that I don't have any comments on Erimem's characterization this time around, which I'm certain means she was particularly well-written.
I think I'm skipping Mission of the Viyrans at least for now in favor of other catching up, but I like the Viyrans - I think they're interesting, I rather enjoyed them in their Monthly Range run, and if occasionally using these BF creations instead of BBC characters in various productions helps make any of these productions any more feasible, I think I like the Viyrans a little bit extra for it.
