The TARDIS wikia doesn’t list an actor for Grok - but it’s fairly clear to my ear that it’s Richard Earl.

Oh, shit, is this the last Erimem story? I'm gonna miss her. I wonder if she's in any of the small handful of MR stories I've yet to buy.... or that she pops up in a subsequent story. After all, there's never any (good) reason not to revisit Peladon! Actually, come to think of it, isn't there an upcoming Peladon boxset? I wonder if Erimem will show up.... if she doesn't, I will at least require an off-hand reference to a certain "Sun Empress" in the mythical past.
Sorry, I just really like Perimem. And not just because I'm not terribly fond of most of the 5th Doctor's companions. (Turlough rocks, though.)
Anyway.
I had a lot of fun with this story. Have I mentioned before that I love the Osirans? Well, I love the Osirans. Not sure they really felt like a natural fit for Peladon, but I'll take it! I kind wish there'd been a few more hints, though--you know, some small elements of Egyptian culture or something. Like wouldn't it have been cool if the Peladons worshipped small cat-like creatures or something? I dunno. I just never really got anything approaching "Egypt-vibes," from Peladon, not in this story and certainly not on TV.
Another thing I really love? The Ice Warriors when they're not antagonists!
I don't really have a whole lot to say about this one other than that it was a lot of fun. I even got a laugh out of Peri, for a change, when the one thing she could think of the threaten the ambassador was--naturally--her capacity to scream very loudly. You're supposed to be threatening the Ambassador, Peri, not the audience!
The only thing that didn't really work for me was Erimem's romance. It just didn't seem properly developed, so her decision to jump ship at the end felt kind of abrupt. Though I did enjoy the implicit suggestion that her husband would basically be a puppet, with Erimem commanding all real authority.
(Also: loved the anecdotes in the commentary at the end.)
