As you all should know, Vortex is Big Finish's free magazine going back to 2009.
I reckon the cover feature for this month's issue will be Blake's 7, as not only is it the second set of Crossfire but also the fortieth anniversary.

Interestingly the majority of the letter reply wasn't about PC not being ready to do BF yet, but confirming more plans for Classic and New Series Mash Ups

Lovely pictures in this month's issue (#107). Fun pictures of Baker and Jameson together, and Davison with his crew. My favorite picture is the one of Kingston leaning on Davison's shoulder in the recording studio. Who ever is snapping the behind the scenes material is getting work that I would be delighted to hang on my wall next to my Big Finish shelf.

Between this and the covers, I reckon Big Finish licensing for posters would be viable. Better than an Orbit News t-shirt. Would also make for great convention signing photos.

Some tidbits from the email section: There are more plans for the Yeti More plans for The Avengers which are hoped to reach fruition No plans for a box set with the Geoffrey Beevers Master Nick has a meeting with Titan Comics (something to do with the comic adaptations we've heard almost nothing about?)

Some tidbits from the email section: ... Nick has a meeting with Titan Comics (something to do with the comic adaptations we've heard almost nothing about?) except that Nick says they have no plans to include the Titan companions which would rule out their tales of the 8th, 10th and 11th Doctor (unless there are any which don't feature the companions) 9 and 12 also seem currently unlikely due to the respective actors not currently being interested their 4th Doctor story features Sarah Jane Smith, and the 3rd Doctor story would need 4 recast characters (maybe Tim Treleor and Frazer Hines for 2 but that still leaves the Brigadier and the Master) so none of the Titan Doctor Who stories seem likely So the meeting is unlikely to be about the adaptations unless there are international rights issues for older comic stories which for some reason require talking to Titan (or be for the Titan Torchwood stories). My guess is the meeting is more likely to be a general coordination of their works to try to avoid being too similar or contradictory to each other (though there are other possibilities - it could be a plan at a greater co-ordination with a multi media story or set of stories or, perhaps, Titan wanting to feature Big Finish characters or stories?)

Expect he starts the reply along the lines of " They've used BF Companions before? We honestly had no idea but we don't an issue with it".
Either that's Nick's sarcasm seeping through or he went in there with half the job already done

True. But consider that ok the year at least since Nick brought them up that the only shred of information we've gotten about the comic adaptations is that they won't feature the Eighth Doctor. That's a lot of lack of information to be reaching any conclusions with.

It's been six years since the last Big Finish Companion. The first two are brilliant. Maybe it could continue as a magazine, so that we don't have to wait so long between each instalment.

I'll let Nick and Jason know there is interest from the lovely BF fans in another volume. Thank you! You could do it like this: A digital first magazine subscription with individual issues collected as hard copies that contain maybe six or so issues. DC have a few titles where two digital comics are collected into one physical issue (Injustice, Gotham City Garage), and comics have long been packaged as small book sized volumes. Look at Panini's Doctor Who Magazine collections. I'd be up for it.

Strangely Aalthough I am someone who only wants physical audio CDs to buy I have changed my buying habits for books, magazines and comics and am now almost exclusively download only for the written word. So I would be happy with a download companion book, especially if it had an interactive index.
