I think his first instinct for adding some extra plot being a multi-Doctor crossover is somewhat telling regarding modern Big Finish. When in doubt; crossover. With them being so liberal with crossovers nowadays, it’s gonna be hard to differentiate the inevitable 60th anniversary stuff from their normal output. I mean I imagine their crossover stuff sells remarkably well so I guess from purely a business point of view it only makes sense that they’d continue down that route. Just take Out of Time as an example. There’s only been two stories in that series and I think they’re both best sellers. Still, I was expecting The Annihilators to be more akin to a 70s Doctor Who movie so I do find the inclusion of the Second Doctor and Jamie a bit odd. Will either be extremely jarring or help fill out the seven parts. Oh I’ve no doubt they sell well. In same way fast food probably sells the most of any catering. The number of crossovers Big Finish are pumping out just makes it seem like they’re running low on real ideas, even if it is printing money for them.

Nick is correct on this one. Dark Dimension is total crap. And its creator should never earn a penny from DW related works, or any creative endeavour - somethin which separates it from, say, Ultimate Evil. Adrian made his bed and now he must lie in it. "Lie" of course the apposite word for him. I was talking about comments in the latest issue, about Season Eight and Scratchman.
I'm not sure that he's really making a criticism as such.
"It’s a very odd movie script with very little substance" doesn't necessarily mean that it's bad, his concern appears to be that there's insufficient material to build on for an audio adaptation. As I recall, he's said in the past the ideas are very visual and it would be difficult to give them a sound incarnation.

So, if I were to hazard a guess I’d say that David Bradley will still be performing alongside the rest of the Space and Time Crew while this mysterious newcomer (Probably John Guilor) will be performing alongside Lauren Cornelius for some post Savages adventures?

Bit odd for them to recast for non-Adventure in Space and Time cast stuff when they’ve already used Bradley outside of that context for cameos.

I think it’s a shame they’ve made the distinction between the new 1DA route and Bradley’s Doctor, who will continue to be lumbered with the AAISAT cast. My preference would’ve been pairing Bradley with the original companions and/or a new companion.

Very sensible decision. If you are relaunching a rejuvenated range, long term it makes no sense to use a recast who is 79 year old.

Also given Guilor's racist Adric sketch it's very unlikely to be him anyway

I Knew there was something dodgy besides the IL connection Regards mark687 Racist Adric sketch? IL? Guilor uploaded a sketch to his Soundcloud called "Black Adric", which was about Adric wearing blackface. It, along with everything else on his Soundcloud, got taken down about a day after it came to wider prominence.

Honestly maybe they should have Done A Classic Who Chronicles range and have The New 1st Doctor in that range rather than complicating things unnecessarily

John Guilor was never an option, he's made very clear that the idea of playing the first Doctor for more than a few lines is something he's not comfortable with.
In any case, the quote in Vortex is that it's somebody brand new - so no Guilor, no Purves, not even Elliot Chapman.
