Some of the artwork submitted is gorgeous. Judging it was genuinely tough.

The headline is brilliant. And it wasn't even mine!

Is the PDF of Vortex 117 missing all the images for anyone else? It looks like this on both my Mac and iPad:

Kenny - November's Vortex was a very good read, particularly the War Master and Star Cops.
Both have been added to my 'to buy' list.

Lovely pictures in this month's issue (#107). Fun pictures of Baker and Jameson together, and Davison with his crew. My favorite picture is the one of Kingston leaning on Davison's shoulder in the recording studio. Who ever is snapping the behind the scenes material is getting work that I would be delighted to hang on my wall next to my Big Finish shelf. Between this and the covers, I reckon Big Finish licensing for posters would be viable. Better than an Orbit News t-shirt. Would also make for great convention signing photos. I don't know why BF don't do more merchandise, some of their artwork for starters is terrific.

Just checked on my laptop. All there for me. Out of curiosity, is your laptop a Mac running Mojave? I'd guess something changed with how that and iOS 12 render PDFs.

I don't know why BF don't do more merchandise, some of their artwork for starters is terrific. It's likely negotiating the licenses would be more trouble than it would seem to be worth. A while ago someone emailed in asking about selling Eighth Doctor stories on flashdrive, packaged as a sonic screwdriver. Nick said that this would technically be a toy, and require a licence to sell toys. The shirts they sell at the moment all contain Big Finish original stuff, like Orbit News and plum pudding (if you need to ask, you really shouldn't), thus avoiding any license conditions. Doing posters of the Big Finish Originals might be doable, even to sell at conventions since there's no physical product for them yet. Matthew Waterhouse spent a lot of time at Big Finish Day plugging Shilling and Sixpence, even handing out flyers. A4 posters for convention signings is a possibility and wouldn't require any more effort than the photos already at tables for signing.

What? Vortex p.5 says Onya from "The Paradise of Death" was envisaged as a recurring character? And yet we still haven't had a SINGLE Jeremy Fitzoliver story?! OUTRAGE!

Yup, the Onya fact was one I discovered during my research. I had no idea about it.
Jeremy who?
