That was something else. Powerful, emotional, moving, and one of the darkest things Big Finish has put out in recent memory. Four for you Big Finish. You go Big Finish. Guy Adams please write my life and make it a terrifying acid trip.

What a gripping tale.I did it all as you do on the one listen.Eve was brilliant in the main role fragile vulnerable, assertive. The last few minutes absolutely played out beautifully in my minds cinema and the incidental music was beautiful and touching.the theme tune so hauntingly chilling I like stories with some sort of ambiguity very much like The Innocents is it in the mind or are they real variety.Amazing how sound design can give a chilly feel to an audio. Simply a wonderful audio and worthy of an immediate relisten this morning. And how about like Shilling and Sixpence-a CD release 😂 I can but wish

On the second listening i was looking also at an article and for me it seemed quite apt-"A veritate quidem auditum avertent, ad fabulas autem convertentur"-----"They will turn away from listening to the truth and wander into myths" (2 Tim 4:4).

The last eight or so minutes are such powerful stuff from Eve don’t think I have ever heard such intenseness in an audio before. I thought Shilling and Sixpence had a darkness about it but this one overtakes it

Hmmm.... so you think it is worth it? I am just not sure I am up to horror at the moment, since work is, as usual, "below average" (I am so glad there is light at the end of the tunnel, though). This is why I am a bit hesitant- because I am sure this is written terrificly with a lot of mind screws in there which could affect me mentally... Sitting a bit on the fence.

Oh most definitely worth it. It is just a very good ghostly tale very lovingly done....will it help if i say it has a happy ending (i might be lying depending on your definition of happy😂) A god story always gets you out of work stress.Given your tastes that i have gathered from the forums so far.I think it is right up your street.I had to edit-God Story meant good but given the story i will leave it uncorrected 🤪

Have finished, listening to the extras. God damn, what a powerful tale. May write more later, gonna let that all digest for a bit. It actually gets better with each relisten . Who could realise an audio could be so COLD

A phenomenally intense, riveting tale for the dark season by Guy Adams, starting as what might be a classical ghost story - or maybe a study of psychological 'hauntings' - before the ghosts become undoubtedly real and Hodder Hall descends into a bloodbath of horror, murder and a fight for survival against madness, ancient power and cold, cold gods.
Think "'Night Thoughts' on steroids" meets 'And Then There Were None' - except in this story they are all still there to witness the bitter end, and presumably, after...
Eve Myles gives a magnificent central performance as Kathryn, trapped in a house and a winter where (as it turns out) all the other inhabitants are mad, or dead - or both.
I had the pleasure of listening to this gripping story (complete with an excellent cast and sound design, five cliff-hangers and many twists) on three freezing nights at the weekend when the clocks changed and the October moon shone cold light over the frosty garden. Full credit to BF's atmospheric designers for setting the scene so perfectly, I don't know how they did it!
5* and my warmest congratulations to all involved. Actually, those should be my coldest congratulations...

Its cold out..the curtains are shut. The duvet is calling.Time for another listen i do so love this story i cant fault it,it does what it says on the tin 🤪The inhabitants of Hodder Hall get madder each listen...I thought well theres no way they could do a sequel but then if you listen to the paranormal investigators....you never know. But to be honest i hope not it really is perfect as it is....

I loved this! I really hope 'Blind Terror' becomes an ongoing anthology series of different horror stories in this style.

You know the only downside of this release is the fact that no nicely packaged CD Box is going to arrive through my mailbox for me to excitedly open and slot into the CD player whil browsing the inner sleeve notes and looking at cast lists and some photos....i knew i would find something. The same that happened with Shilling and Sixpence come on BF get a grip

Listened to it, it was good. Agree that Eve Myles character and the Cook sounded too alike, it was hard always to be sure who was speaking.
It was a bit too dark and gruesome in places for my taste.
