I actually liked that - it made the cliffhanger last a little longer and the reveal in The Widow's Assassin is a joy - and we didn't need to see the goodbye as she ultimately came back (not sure if that was planned or not all those years ago). I don't think the plan ever was to not to have Flip return. Six's guilt over Flip leaving and Flip marrying Jared, after being unsure whether or not she fitted into his life anymore, felt too prevelant for anything but a follow up. Flip's arc wasn't done. It might be down to scheluding. I can't imagine Lisa Greenwood isn't busy as a young actress and Mirinda Raison just had a baby or Big Finish is skirting around the timeline? Well, I guess if that's the case, it makes sense - we're apparently seeing Peri and Six outside the Main Range this year and I doubt they'd put Mel with two different Doctors across six releases...

We're already on a Doctor rota. I don't see a problem with a companion rota too. The Doctors appear every year. They don’t get brought it for one trilogy and then abandoned for years without resolution while new things continue being introduced. blimey. That's more melodramatic than the audios.

I don't know about anyone else but I'd like to hear this adventure first and see what BF is doing with him, or indeed if this character is featured in any more audios. I like Constance & Flip a lot but I'm not going to freak if I have to wait a year before getting the chance to hear them together again.

Yeah, I'm sure I'll like him enough that I won't mind in the end. It's just a testament to the strength of the companions we have now that we're dying to know what happens to them.

A 'first' for this MR release (as far as I'm aware) - the download includes the era-specific logo 'reversible' cover JPG as well.
A nice idea to give us a choice of download art for the future that's almost here, thanks BF.

Downloading now! I thought the trailer sounded wonderfully dark and the synopsis really got me intrigued. The work-day can't end soon enough :-)

Spoilers Obviously {Spoiler} Well that was pretty good
The twist I saw coming light years off but its well performed when it does happen.
Couple of really good sub characters in the forms of Willoway and Drazen very different character motivations and yet either would've interesting returning characters.

Regards mark687 {Spoiler} The two of them could have made a really interesting team with the Doctor if they hadn’t both died. It’s a shame really.
As for Mathew, I also saw it coming a mile off. Though as the story progressed I started to doubt my senses and wonder whether I was overthinking things. Honestly, I don’t think he’s a massive loss, Six is fine with the many companions he already has, but if we were to add another surely it must be DI Menzies?
The placement of this story is interesting as it seems like it’s between Trial of a Time Lord and the Marian Conspiracy.

I'll be picking this up for sure. But I'd like to know of this is a standalone story, or if it's part one of a trilogy I could hold off on buying until everything's out in July.
Would someone who's heard it be willing to tell me if Nomad ends on a cliffhanger toward the upcoming Cyberman stories?

This was pretty enjoyable. I love the return to the slightly more bolshie Sixth Doctor of Season 22 - this definitely has to be pre-Evelyn. The twist was pretty obvious, though, and I'm quite disappointed Matthew Sharpe isn't sticking around. It would have been nice to have a sort of Fifth Doctor and Turlough dynamic going on - and speaking of which, I'm still hopeful we'll get more Five and Turlough stories in the future. Oh well. At the very least, the ending is brilliantly performed by Colin. I don't think it's near as amazing as the last two trilogies of Sixth Doctor stories have been, but as I said at the top, this was pretty enjoyable nonetheless.

A surprisingly continuity light story for the writer.

Now that was a really good story! Besides some much-appreciated amusement at The Doctor's latest historical name-dropping, it held considerable intrigue and numerous interesting surprises for me.
It also managed to whet my appetite for more details soon on the project involving Six and Peri.

Spoilerfree review: Good story, felt much more consequential than most stand-alones. Most other thoughts require spoilers so... I was worried this story would just do the "Adam" thing - Mathew would be a fake companion who joined the Doctor in that story and altered his memory. Big Finish has already done this with another Doctor Who story - and it's been done throughout sci-fi, so I was worried this would feel a little old hat. For some reason I didn't consider the fact that the Doctor might just be betrayed (until we saw the flashback, then it was suddenly obvious - he can't resist a distress call!). As such, Mathew still "counts" even if we'll likely never see him again.
Also, it's quite something when there are only two survivors in a story and neither was the companion! Bold choice.
As it stands, though, I wonder if it might have had more impact had Mathew been a companion for all three stories this year, putting Nomad at the end of the trilogy rather than the start. We'd all probably be just as duped as the Doctor that way...
Oh also! I liked Willoway a lot - I'm sad she's not in it very much. Same with the Makara, actually.
