I have to say, I've never found the stories in the multi-Doctor trilogies to be intricately interlinked. There are shared locations and/or characters, but they are largely standalone. (The Master trilogy was a bit more connected, but more in the third story explaining some of the mysteries of the first two.) I wonder which were the most intricately linked we've had so far... The Drashani? Excelis? Six and Jamie’s trilogy

The most intricately linked main range trilogy is probably the Key2Time stories from 2009, as they are three parts of the same quest. The Ace & Hex stories around the time of Protect & Survive were also closely linked. (Having knowledge of earlier stories in the arc also helps to make things easier.)

Well the scant amount we know about the styles... Nick seems to be keeping the Seventh Doctor the same for now (Ace and Mel) but is also bringing Klein back for at least one story. John doesn't seem to have put Sixie with any of his ongoing companions. And as for Scott's only story on the docket, it's the Fifth Doctor alone with UNIT which is certainly very different. Ultimately we don't know very much yet, but my big question is how will this affect multi-Doctor trilogies? With the rumours that we'll be moving back towards a more random/staggered release schedule (like before the trilogy format took over), this probably won't really be a thing for very much longer. However, based on what we know about this year, this years' multi-Doctor 'trilogy' is likely to be the UNIT one (starting with The Helliax Rift and continuing with Warlock's Cross). I'm not sure if that really gives us any real information at the moment, but it's something to keep an eye on Can we have a Big Finish rumour thread? Not to be rude or anything, but I prefer to be teased.

According to this weeks Podcast
Alan Barns won't be Script Editor from next year and there will be a Script Editor for each Doc, also Trilogies will start to be faded out as customer feedback indicates people still prefer some randomness.

Regards mark687 I hope we still get one multi-Doctor trilogy per year to act as a sort of centrepiece, though.

Not a fan - I prefer the triolgey format, personally, it makes the return of each Doctor more of an event. On the otherhand, it's possible we might see some tighter (but still accessible) ongoing plot threads between releases
