My take on Volume 2 of 'The Story so Far' is now up at CultBox, joining Tony Jones observations on Volume 1. Hot take: Loved playing with alternate Doctors, and Una McCormack's The Angel of History is incredible - compelling and harrowing with a terrific performance from Lisa Bowerman.

This one of the few releases I have heard with Benny. I loved it and wasn't too lost, made a good starting point.
The theme tunes used on each episode, are they from other Benny ranges?
I am now in love with the Grel, what other stories have they been in?

I am now in love with the Grel, what other stories have they been in? GOOD FACT: The Grel are hilarious. I don't recall when they first appeared, I think I first heard them in "Oh No It Isn't!" The TARDIS wiki mentions some stories they appear in: tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Grel

I re-listened to these about a month or so ago. Really love the stories.
The Behind the Scenes with Miles Richardson in character as Brax were very entertaining.
But I have to admit that I'm mystified as to why Paul Cornell chose to mention "Paul Cornell's compilation of disgrace" from an old message board in the interview, with an encouragement to "look it up". After hearing about it for the second time, I did look it up. It is not, as he calls it in the interview, a "fabulous compilation". It really puts him in a pretty poor light, whether true or not, and even reading it with an eye toward giving Paul the benefit of the doubt, I was not impressed by the remarks of his quoted therein. (Confession: I subscribe to Paul's newsletter, so I generally enjoy what he has to say.) It didn't really bear mentioning, no relevance to the discussion of the history of Benny. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But I have to admit that I'm mystified as to why Paul Cornell chose to mention "Paul Cornell's compilation of disgrace" from an old message board [Says in the Sixth Doctor's bombastic tone]... "an old message board?!!" [Coughs and splutters!!] RADW was far more than just an old message board Davros. (!) The (in)famous rec.arts.drwho newsgroup was a place where anyone who was anything in DW hung out... even if only behind a handle. Discussions could get very lively there... to say the least. My first experience of online Doctor Who discussions was on rec.arts.drwho and I am still recovering 20+ years later! Paul Cornell was a regular there and he made many enemies but being disliked on RADW was probably a badge of honour! You're right though, his old spats didn't have any real relevance to the behind the scenes interview. Paul obviously has no hang-ups over it all though, so fair play to him.

are these volumes really two years old from release? 2 years since we celebrated Bennie’ twentieth year. I have to say she has definitely got better with age too

I just relistened to "Angel of History". I have now only listened to it twice. I remembered it being extremely powerful. A wonderful bit of writing, but very hard to get through. And it is still as powerful as I remember. I still makes me cry like a waterfall. It is gut wrenching and heart-breaking. But at the same time, it also contains a kernel of hope. Stuff like this has been going on in the past, and is RIGHT NOW going on in parts of the world (just don't look further than Iran for example). I have been to university, and I have witnessed first hand all the rivalries and backstabbing and intriques. I can all imagine all of this vividly. For me, this is one of the most powerful stories ever written for Big Finish. And there are times when you just need to cry, and cry long and hard, to get it all out.
And especially the message of the Doctor at the end "Get up and dig!"
