DOCTOR WHO - MAIN RANGE » 240. HOUR OF THE CYBERMEN Released July 2018SynopsisAnswering a call from UNIT, the Doctor arrives in London to find the streets deserted, apart from looters in possession of a valuable commodity - water. Britain is suffering an extreme and bizarre drought. The cause is suspected to be extra-terrestrial. The discovery of a signal being transmitted into space, and of a spacecraft whose crew are desiccated corpses, provides a possible answer. But the true enemy is an old foe of the Doctor’s. The Cybermen have been patient, setting their plans in place over a number of years. As the final stage is implemented, in the darkest hour, the Doctor must identify who among his allies he can trust. Written By: Andrew Smith Directed By: Jamie Anderson CASTColin Baker (The Doctor), David Banks (Cyber Leader), Mark Hardy (Mark Hardy), Frog Stone (Frog Stone), Blake Harrison (Blake Harrison), Wayne Forester-Evans (Atriss / Bill Parker / Captain Weaver), Russ Bain (Lewis Price / Kel)

Still chuffed to pieces to hear David Banks and Mark Hardy are in this! And who, or what, is Frog Stone (I mean that respectfully)?

Can't wait for this. A very nasty plan from the Cybermen befitting their cold logical performances carried out to full horrific effect. And if Matthew isn't in this release, this is going to be a very shaken Six, without the outlet of protecting a companion. (Perhaps he's only in two releases?) Very high stakes. Looks that like David Banks and Mark Hardy will be pitching their performances along more traditional lines.

Very pleased the original 80s Cybermen are coming back!!
As this involves UNIT does that mean it is part of the ongoing series that is due to begin with this month's MR The Heliax Rift?

! And who, or what, is Frog Stone (I mean that respectfully)? Frog Stone is both the character's name and the actor's name. Hmmm [furrows brow thoughtfully]. Looks like there is more to be revealed here ...
Perhaps it is some kind of anagram of cryptic clue?

She's, in fact, an actual actress/writer What I find most intriguing is that she, Blake Harrison and Mark Hardy are apparently playing themselves. Which would be weird if the story is set in the 80s, as Frog and Blake are quite young and Mark seems to have played a Cyber Lieutenant in various stories, including Earthshock and Silver Nemesis. Curiouser and curiouser.

Im fairly sure this is a Six solo trilogy and Mathew is a fake out companion. I suppose it could just be that they only wanted to do the one story with him now and will revisit him at a later date, but it just seems odd that a companion who’s already travelling with the Doctor will show up for one story and then the rest of the trilogy has Six solo.

Curiouser and curiouser. I just realised Blake is probably reprising the Daniel Hopkins role from The Heliax Rift, and with David Banks returning as the Cyber Leader, Mark Hardy will probably also be playing the Cyber Lieutenant. So I guess Frog will also play some other character, perhaps a UNIT officer.

I mean, a fake-out or he's killed in his first story. Though it'll be hard to get attached to him while we're all wondering why he's not in Iron Bright...

who, or what, is Frog Stone (I mean that respectfully)? Mervyn's newly-acquired pet amphibian. He's really jealous of Ed Reardon's cat.
