Over on the social media and speculation thread there’s material to suggest Big Finish are picking up Class, the much maligned one season Doctor Who spin-off.
I for one would really like to hear this is true. Yes, the show was lacking in something, but it was the first season and only one writer. Plus Big Finish have a tendency to rehabilitate fan unfavorites like Colin Baker’s Sixth Doctor, Mel, Adric and even the Nimon.

I'm not sure I didn't mind the series, I'm not desperate for more, but would it solve the Series Cliff-hangers or be set earlier in the Series?

This is why we need a Big Finish spoiler/rumours thread...

Well it's an interesting choice for Big a Finish if they are doing them. I enjoyed Class (it wasn't brilliant, though did have its moments, but it wasn't the car crash others seem to think of it as) but as far as I can tell I'm in a minority there. I'm not desperate for more, but I'm interested to see what Big Finish can do with the series.

I think I’m in the same boat as everyone else. I didn’t mind the series when it was on, I haven’t rewatched it since and I couldn’t tell you what happened apart from that ending, so I’m not going to be campaigning for more but I’d probably give it a listen if Big Finish were to pick it up. As has already been said: they do have a track record of improving audience opinion of previously unpopular characters.

I've heard mixed opinions about this. Is it worth? I have loads of time on my hands for a week or two, so probably can check it out if it's not bad.

Its worth watching but might frustrate, there's good bits and bad bits in every Episode, and its very uneven in tone, which is odd cause its all by the same writer.

I expect BF will do a good job of it, my question is why this property though? It has no fan base to talk of, wasn't critically acclaimed, so why invest into it? Some of BF's commercial decisions leave me perplexed, and this is one of them.

I watched the first two episodes and thought the show was terrible. If BF is picking this up, it will be something I pass on.

I enjoyed the show for the most part, it wasn't perfect - far from it, but it was enjoyable enough. Admittedly, The Coach With the Dragon Tattoo and the two-parter were pretty weak, but I felt like the rest of the episodes were decent enough. I wouldn't mind BF putting their spin on it, just because I think they could iron out any issues with the show. I mean... they've got a good track record of improving things, look at Sixie, Adric, Mel... I have faith in BF to do a good job.

I think he was being sarcastic. I've heard mixed opinions about this. Is it worth? I have loads of time on my hands for a week or two, so probably can check it out if it's not bad. Don't bother. It was pathetic.

I should probably get around to watching Class, if the Big Finish rumours here are true.

It has a cracking good first episode followed by an atrociously bad second episode that feels like the worst excesses of Torchwood focused into one hour. After that it turns into a pretty engaging show. I was sorry to see it go away. Hopefully these rumors are true and BF is taking it on.

I should probably get around to watching Class, if the Big Finish rumours here are true. Nah, just listen to the audios from Big Finish when they come out. (If the rumours are true of course.) Odds are they'll be ten times better than what masqueraded as entertainment on the TV, as Big Finish actually know how to produce good stories that people are interested in.

The show was fine in a way that I wish it had a second season with which to improve itself, but I'm not crushed that it didn't. I'd be interested to see what BF did with it, but I don't know how well it would sell...

I'd be interested to see what BF did with it, but I don't know how well it would sell... I might not be interested in Class audios myself, but if/when Big Finish do produce some I am pretty certain they will liven it up. As every Doctor Who spin-off they have handled has turned out to be very good, surprisingly good in a lot of cases. ( Jago & Litefoot, Counter-Measures, Graceless, I, Davros, etc..) Big Finish have redeemed so many things with their high quality audios, I would see Class audios as additions to their 'Worlds of Doctor Who' catalogue that will definitely have some sort of an audience, as a lot of people who are BF fans like to buy everything. If the Class audio stories turned out to get good reviews, who knows after that?

I enjoyed Class far more than I ever liked Torchwood (outside of Children of Earth) and I was very disappointed that it left off on a cliffhanger, so I'd like to see where Big Finish could take it.
