I would be up for it, the characters were interesting and it would be cool to see them get the big finish treatment.

I'm not sure I didn't mind the series, I'm not desperate for more, but would it solve the Series Cliff-hangers or be set earlier in the Series? Oh, they'd have to pick up that cliffhanger. Setting it earlier in the series would just mean more of the volcano monsters and more bloody moping ("I've lost a leg", "I'm half monster", "I not given language for the speaking in plot", "I'm a ripoff of Sky from SJA", etc.).

I think he was being sarcastic. Not even close. I want the experience Big Finish offers to me. And I loved Class, Who connection or not, it's one of my favourite shows off all time. Wonderfully honest and earnest, handling it's teen characters with care for the audience and recgonising their vulnerability, but not putting the brake on by any means, capturing the hectic pace of adolsenece perfectly, the two-parter says Co-Owner of a Lonely Heart/Brave-ish Heart all the right things missing from these stories, subverting clichés into something more meaningful, the achingly beautiful life-observed writing. The characters were allowed to be rich and complex. It wasn't perfect - Ness was mad to write all of it and his inexperience writing TV shows at some points - but it was brilliant, uncompromising, but I can't see Big Finish taking it on, it's not really for their audience.

I can actually see BF going with it, because they're going to want something to produce now that they've got the rights to Twelve's era, and it's a ready-made spinoff for them already. I know we're apparently getting a Missy boxset, but I can see them wanting to utilise the new elements as much as possible (kind of like with Lady Christina, Jenny, Tales From New Earth, Churchill, etc...)

I enjoyed Class, some great ideas there but a bit of a varied tone. I'm sure if the Beeb has put some advertising behind it and given it a better slot than the deathly late-night double bills when it got a scheduled airing, it would have done a lot better. I particualrly enjoyed the creepy ep 3 'Nightvisiting' and the latter two eps 'Detained' & 'The Metaphysical Engine...' which happened at the same time.
I too would like to see BF put their spin on it, and one would imagine James Goss and Guy Adams would be ideal candidates - both having penned tie-in novels. Actually, the other author was AK Benedict who's also working for BF too.

Tomorrow is April 18, the date Sophie cryptically teased on her insta post with Viv, so I guess we'll find out if it was indeed Class audios or something else...

BF don't have ONE audience though.

According to Fady's ig story, he's in the same studio recording again (the Moat?) with Vivian Oparah (Tanya). Could we be looking at a series similar to the Torchwood main range with a number of one/two-handers?
PS: I think the April 18 on Sophie's insta post was just the date of the picture XD

I'm sure this will be controversial, but at least Big Finish will being "doing a Doctor Who spin-off right", as opposed to whatever the TV show thought it was doing. There weren't enough ties to the parent show to really think it was worth making it a part of the 'Whoniverse', so having some proper Who elements (rather than a couple of pretty inconsequential cameos) will go a long way to making this feel like a more authentic property. Hopefully, once they've tested the waters (and, should they manage to make it feel more like it's part of the 'Worlds of Doctor Who'), we'll be able to get a continuation as, even though I'm far from a fan of the TV show, even I want to know what happens next...

It’s not in any way different to the Doctor Who or Torchwood licences when they were first acquired. Creating stories in existing TV gaps, opposed to straight away going for continuing any ongoing plot threads. It makes sense, as does incorporating Doctor Who elements to bring Class into the Who world a bit more.

I did wonder whether it was a continuation of the show, given that there was no mention of the Angels or cliffhangers in the article. I’m fine with having them start off with episodes set during S1 to begin with, if only to test the waters. Either way, this is a definite buy from me.

Excellent news. Class did seem to have potential so I hope Big Finish can capitalise on it.

Hello students, in today's lesson we are going to learn about Nitro-9. Science - How do you make nitro 9? Maths - How many hits does a Dalek take before it explodes? PE - Baseball English - How many times can you use ace in the same sentence sentence? History - WW2 (special extended edition) Also do you think if she was a sixth form teacher she would insist people call her McShane? Or is that too 2005.
