Gave this lengthy retrospective on the 'Re Animator' film series a look. Considering The Lovecraft Invasion has just been released, I'm suddenly in a mood to delve more into the Cthulhu Mythos and his associated works. www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6FD2ukMu4U

An adaptation of the Sandman story arc '24 Hour Diner' www.youtube.com/watch?v=5kIP70LAIBINaturally, if you're squeamish then I'd suggest you avoid this. Tis not for the faint of heart.

I've discovered the "Broke Canon" series by DAVIS on YouTube. It explores Doctor Who across novels, stories, comics, audio, and collates the findings on specific topics in a light-hearted and silly video short, without trying to reconcile the many discrepancies.
This episode covers the name of the Doctor, the fate of the Delgado Master, and Nyssa's timeline as told by Big Finish.
Of course, there are spoilers, spoilers, spoilers, as well as a little casual swearing, and a picture of Nick Briggs. If you've listened to Nyssa's BF audios (all of them) then you needn't worry about spoilers.

I just watched this remarkable documentary about a Star Wars and KISS-inspired rock band that performed for one summer at Disneyland's Space Mountain in the early 1980s. I had no idea about this incredibly arcane piece of Disney trivia, but was transfixed the whole time and a bit heartbroken by the end. Absolutely worth the watch:

youtu.be/3Q1ipJWLfQwCouncil of Geeks Mummy on the Orient Express Very positive review! I agree on almost everything they say! And I particularly liked the analysis of the counter for the deaths and the dissection of 12’s lack of bedside manner in the episode. It is one of the best episodes of series 8! I do have to say that while I definitely can see where they were coming from about Clara lying to both Danny and 12, and how it makes them not like Clara and I respect that; I personally think that while it was wrong of her to lie to both of them I appreciate that Clara is a realistically flawed character. I also disagree that they said it wasn’t romantic in nature, like it or not, it definitely was romantic. One only has to look at the subtext not only in this episode but in 12 and Clara’s entire story arch together (seriously, I could write a multi page essay on the amount of subtext in 12 and Clara’s relationship in addition to how it often gets misinterpreted ). While I do think Clara was in the wrong for her lie to them, I can also see where her dilemma comes from being stuck between the more realistic human who can give her a normal stable relationship and the more exciting alien who she is deeply bonded to. Of course it would be a difficult choice for her! I know this is nitpicky but it’s just something that the reviewer brought up that, while I respect where they are coming from, I sometimes think people in general are sometimes too harsh on Clara. Their review overall is a wonderful review overall of a wonderful overall episode though!😊

m.youtube.com/channel/UC6OVt62ltkJc_JT1k42AOTAHaving mentioned a potential Doctor Who story idea featuring Hans Christian Andersen, I’ve been going back and watching some old episodes of The Fairytaler. A Dutch animated series of his works from the early noughties I believe. I really like the animation and although they basically use the same voice actors for each episode I think it’s a great way to introduce Mr Andersen’s works to children. Been nice seeing some that I had never seen before. Only managed to see the odd couple on a few of these free DVDs you get with copies of the Spectator my Nan used to get when I was a nipper.
