A lot of book thrift videos. I don’t usually watch this sort of thing but it’s the closest I can get to actually wandering around a book shop these days.

Been watching a lot of Tom Walker’s brilliant comic creation the ever exasperated but deeply passionate news reporter Jonathan Pie lately.
No matter your political leaning, it’s some very funny and hard hitting satire.

youtu.be/b3QRGrbxyQgTwelve and Clara/Beauty and the Beast youtu.be/C0OGEpGsDXISomething there- Twelve and Clara OMG! Someone else sees it besides me! I’m not the only one who sees the parallels between 12 and Clara and Beauty and the Beast. Two whole edits of 12 and Clara done in the style of Beauty and the Beast! It’s very convincing too and the parallels are even stronger with the music! Seriously even 12 and Clara’s facial expressions match up with the movie. It made me cry, smile and blush simultaneously! Why does this make me so happy?! Sidenote: I always thought “Clara’s Theme” so similar to “Something There” Sidenote: Why does this make me think they should have just Peter and Jenna in the live Beauty and the Beast remake?!They would have had way more chemistry! Sidenote: Yes, I know I am weird and a bit obsessive. Thanks for putting up with me!

This is a great look back at Our Friends in the North is one of the best tv shows ever made, the careers of many now well-known actors really took off here, including some that have gone on to appear in our beloved Dr Who on telly and/or audio (Christopher Eccleston, Gina McKee)
(running time 52:04)

licensing.screenocean.com/record/130766Loose Talk- Peter Capaldi Screen Ocean rather than YouTube but this is a very interesting find if anyone is curious about what Peter Capaldi’s stand up act was like in the 1980s. He also guest co-hosts the talk show and helps introduce and interview Grace Jones and Sade. It was a bit uncomfortable for me to watch having read an interview with Peter that his standup act went so badly on this guest appearance that he fell into a three day depression where he didn’t leave his bed. It was still interesting to see if a bit odd seeing young Peter do his stand up character, Tony Labotomy, a Brooklyn accented showbiz man wearing a torn suit. I felt terrible that the live audience was actually booing and heckling poor Peter. I unfortunately don’t think the character was a very good fit for Peter, it’s probably a very good thing that he stuck to acting, writing, directing and music. He did his best though despite him seeming extremely nervous even when he was himself on the show. An interesting find, if a bit uncomfortable to watch.

For myself as a North East lad, it was highly significant programme (that I have not watched since, however). The final playout over the Tyne Bridge was a big step up for Oasis with 'Don't Look Back in Anger'. I found it quite tragic for the beyond help state of 'Geordie' (Daniel Craig) which contrasted with his old friends success. A latter day 'Hell Drivers' too, with a future James Bond and Doctor Who. Its in the house on DVD (not mine), so maybe its time to watch it again. As you say, strange to think its now a classic piece of TV a quarter of a century old...

OMG! Someone unearthed actual video footage of young Peter Capaldi singing lead vocals with his old band the dreamboys!!!! 😃 He’s mesmerizing! He sounds hypnotic! Weirdly he still somehow looks and sounds like 12, he’s even wearing what looks like a red version of his outfit from “Thin Ice”! 😂 These are two of the best videos ever!😃 youtu.be/vySySJATY_0youtu.be/90o-xyWJlj8
