youtu.be/YesMWAxqJ60“My Monster Boyfriend” Lindsay Ellis One of my favorite video essays on the history of the human and monster/Beauty and the Beast style romance genre and where “The Shape of Water” takes it. As this is one of my absolute favorite sub genres it’s fascinating learning about the history and evolving symbolism of the genre. It was also interesting reading the comments and there are a lot of other neurodiverse and disabled people (like myself) who say that they love monster/ human romance stories! 😊

Part of a very thought-provoking and totally not Who-related documentary by Henry Lincoln, who is said to be the last surviving person to have written Doctor Who in the 1960s (including co-authoring The Web of Fear - "...and retained the rights to the recurring character Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart"). www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQE6X421s2E

I wouldn't have picked it, initially, but he could have been a nice choice to narrate an audiobook version of one of his stories.

M.R James - Supernatural Storyteller Although I prefer Mark Gatiss’s’ offering from many years later I have to say this one was thoroughly engaging. And it has a nice guest role for Christopher Lee standing in for the master of the ghost story himself. m.youtube.com/watch?v=hyQ_jXRDaH4

Apologies if you mentioned it and I missed it. I did. And I adore it. Gatiss’s’ admiration for the man shines throughout. Honestly still surprises me we never got a television story or a Big Finish penned by Gatiss where the Doctor meets M.R. James.
