Bekdel Test is probably Missy, considering what it measures. Bechdel. This must be different. Maybe the Bekdel Test checks if a female Gallifreyan can talk about something without mentioning any of her male former incarnations. Obviously the Twelve will have zero chance, but with Missy's ego I think she'd pass easily! Every Master/Missy will know they are the best incarnation yet, so why mention the 'prototypes'?!

I like to call Beevers the Bacon Master, but I'll let you all make your own decisions here re: naming.

On the one hand, I love the scope of this: River agasint The Doctor's greatest enemy. It's a different fight with different pieces and there very evenly matched. I wonder if Eric Roberts will don a British accent?
On the otherhand, I would have loved something, with River having to deal with Missy being the one who will walk with The Doctor for the rest of his days and how bad that would be for him, his better nature and struggle agasint the darkness.

I wonder if Eric Roberts will don a British accent? Doubt it as his Master has an american accent.

Bring in Simm and make seven. Or, just for the hell of it, bring in Tipple to make it eight. I wonder if this will be a multi-Master story, or if River will just go through each of the Masters in each story like she’s been going through Doctors in each boxset. That could be why they chose to use four Masters. One Master for each episode. Nine if we include David Shelby from “Hallows of Time”. Ten if we include pre-disfigured Beevers as well as evil fog Beevers. David Garfield.

I think, given that this doesn’t appear to be a multi-Master story, I’d prefer the structure of the set to be four standalone adventures that are told across River’s life, rather than continuous. That would be a different approach to the set from what we’ve had before, having not heard the fourth set yet, and could give us some different portrayals of River that might better reflect the different incarnations of the Master.

Eh, it seems there's going to be more of a definite link-up. You don't do a box set with all the living Masters and not make it epic. I think we're probably going to see something along the lines of Missy ensaring her previous incarnations without revealing her identity, with her past selves waiting to get the upper hand with her outplaying them.

When Michelle said it sounded (or at least it was inferred) that she'd done more than one, so this could be possible. I'd still prefer it the other way around, with River at different points in her life too.

It's NOT all the living Masters. And a box set with four Masters is intrinsically epic.

Well, of course it is, but having separate stories with River encountering different incarnations The Master across a box set kind of robs The Master/Mistress and their respective incarnations and the narrative of it's specialness. You might as well spread their encounters across the series and focus on something else for a set. Oh, bar one, and I'd argue McQueen's very conspicuous by his absence

Four separate adventures with four separate Masters works just fine for me.

Really like that and like how the new logo can both be subtle on these “Worlds of Doctor Who” releases and loud and iconic on a proper Doctor Who release.
