Loud Howard is a character from the Dilbert comic strip and animated series, where his gimmick is that he always yells things (he sneeze can strip the flesh from the bones of the person in direct line of fire). You're excited, but use regular caps like us regular people.

Got my CDs ordered after a quick panic - limiting to 500 strikes me as odd, but I'm sure BF have their reasons.
No doubt the profiteers will be buying up copies to sell on ebay later.

Well, their ploy of making the CDs limited edition has worked and I have just ordered these. I wonder whether the two volumes will release on the same day?

I was considering waiting on it but I waited on my giant purchase until I saw that class announcement. Almost 200quid for everything. S2-3 of Pathfinder download, Preorder of Benny Treasury, second Doctor cc vol 2, Jago and litefoot forever and worlds of Doctor Who limited!
And then I saw limited cd run. I think the BBC is seeing if Big Finish can generate interest in a season 2 on telly.
But regardless, between a badass wheelchair gal like myself and a someone who also had his foot cut off and replaced I love this show. I love the magic that I identify with a sikh jock bloke(quite a bit actually) because of our injuries. It was really exciting to find myself identifying strongly with someone sooooo different from me.
I actually identify with him the most. And that's why telly with multiculturalcasts is important!
If I, a white Jewish lesbian, can identify with him...that's amazing.
It's also nice because the show has 4 strong female characters. If there was only one woman principle I may have just been pushing to identify with her. But since I was universally supported as a woman viewer I had the freedom to find myself in any character that felt natural.
I live a life without seeing myself on TV and vicarious living, grasping for crumbs and drawing parallels with characters who are nothing like me.
When a ensemble show devotes itself to cast and relationships like Torchwood and class I gravitate to what I feel for, not what I settle for.
My favourite relationship in Torchwood is Gwen and Rhys. Because between jack and Ianto Tosh and her girl and Eve's emotional acting over being rejected by likely the only woman she'd shown interest in... It's my favourite. I love that there's lesbian and gay relationships, and ot gave me the freedom to find that Gwen is my favourite with JIanto my second and Tosh's girlfriend situation is my third because it's powerful, emotional and heartbreaking.
Between both of these shows I find I am loving characters that aren't ostensibly like me and cheering for relationship s that are nothing like mine.
I think BF will do some major magic with this and I really really hope it's a trial run for BBC doing more with Big Finish(and seeing what Big Finish does for every show)

I think Class in TV form is probably dead, sadly. The show in terms of promotion was mishandled - it really feels as if the BBC wanted all the notority of a teenage Doctor Who spin off - and got cold feet about it, which was a HUGE disservice to the show. It didn't cost much to make and it didn't deliever the online audience they desired, so why continue? The BBC is effectivily relaunching Who with the Thirteenth Doctor and I'd imagine will be playing down any connections to Twelve.

Note that they're also jewel cases, not individual CD cases in a slipcover, and the pre-order price is lower than stated in DWM. I think BF aren't sure about the sales on these.

People are talking as if this is going to absolutely tank, but if you think about it, BF at least think it's going to at least sell well enough to be on CD. It's got as high a chance of doing well as the other BF Originals, if not higher due to the DW link and the existence of an established fanbase. If BF can afford to put something like Graceless or Charlotte Pollard on disc then I reckon this will do fine.
