Warning: Spoilers. With Series 2 not that far away after the August sets, what do you think will happen? It'll be intresting to see how Big Finish deal with April. There's no budget reason, after all, for April to return to her body. A tighter grip on her heart. And I can't see Ram NOT falling apart at some point. Charlie and Quill's relationship is going to continue to be further warped. Charlie has a taste for bloodlust and vegence for now. And Quill IS going to struggle with a lack of purpose now that The Shadow Kin and are gone. Quill is going to live and it is going to be terrible. Intresting how the show will deal with Tayna. I can't imagine Tayna's Grandmother has the money to keep her Grandchildren in Coal Hill, as well as the social commentary. Very intrested in how the show will deal with Matteusz Friend, foe, something else enterily? Can't see some Sarah Jane alumni NOT turning up

Series 2 will almost certainly feature the headmistress played by Pooky Quesnel(strange name!)I thought she was brilliant in series 1.

Can't see some Sarah Jane alumni NOT turning up Well most of Class crew will be seriously messed up after the finale. Tanya, Ram and Charlie all have enormous grief to deal with, for their parents and their entire species in Charlie's case. This shared grief might actually serve as a way to bring them closer together, or push them apart. April being in Corakinus' body could be long-lasting, especially as the cliffhanger showed her still having her original voice so Big Finish can keep the actress and still use this story thread. Interestingly, Quill actually comes out of Series 1 quite well. After the finale she's completely free, no leash to Charlie and no threat from the Shadowkin. Might she try and ditch Charlie and strike out alone? Sarah Jane alumni I doubt, I think RTD indicated he didn't want the characters to be used by Big Finish, and it might be jarring seeing characters from such a fundamentally optimistic show in the rather more bleak Class. And there's also the Weeping Angels and the Governors to contend with. What's their endgame?

I don't it was the characters as much as the spin-off RTD (and BF, for that matter, out of respect for Liz) didn't want to be continued. I think if they do go the A Charitable Earth route with Ace, we might see at least a nod to these characters somewhere down the line. Maybe Luke could be a teacher assistant training at Coal Hill, or Rani could become involved with the gang while investigating something. The possibilities are endless. If Ace returns again in S2, and Tanya continues to go down the route we saw in The Lost, I could see Ace offering her further training and a sort of friendly hostility between her and Quill over Tanya, due to their different outlooks and moral values. That would be ace! I would also love for Cyril Nri to return and be confirmed as The Corsair. After all, we don't know the extent of his character's involvement with the Arrival. He might have infiltrated the cult or be there for lucrative reasons.

It was a while since I watched Didn't Miss Quill have, what could be descibed as, "a life threatening condition" at the end? {Spoiler} i.e. heavily pregnant. And Quill mothers do not survive giving birth

Wait, what? Where does it say that BF are doing that? Nick Briggs stated in the podcast that the contract prevented them from resolving the cliffhanger.

When Big Finish first got the license they weren't allowed to resolve the cliffhanger as the TV show had yet to be officially cancelled (so it was still "feasible" there could be a second series). Now the show's over there's a chance that they can continue the story. As for "With Series 2 not that far away", Michael's just hoping that it's going to be soon, as there's been absolutely no word on that happening (as of yet). (The argument is that since they've got the license and can now resolve the cliffhanger, then obviously they are going to do so as soon as possible)

So Big Finish seem to be open to the idea...

It certainly sounds from the interviews like the cast are up for a second season; at the very least just for the cliffhanger resolutions.
My personal preference - though for branding reasons, I don't see this happening - would be they do a second season of Class specifically to resolve cliffhangers and then begin dispersing surviving characters to pop up in other ranges.
Have Ram sign up to UNIT; have Quill cross swords with River Song, Missy, and Bernice in a four-way race for a Doomsday Chronometor; have April and Charlie become bitter villains against Torchwood; have Tanya become a companion to the Sixth Doctor... Tell me that wouldn't be awesome. Fight me. FIGHT ME.
