Hey everyone,
I wouldn't want it to go to series, but would anyone else like an Amy and Rory box set exploring their lives after Angels Take Manhatten? Specifically their adjustment, contement and loss with aliens/monsters as a backdrop? I wouldn't personally want it to go to series - I think there's power in that Amy and Rory were happy despite the odds stacked agasint them and that was a good resolution to Amy's arc.

I love me some Amy and Rory but that would be a pass from me. Not every blank needs to get filled in and some stories don't need to be told.

Couldn't they just live their life happily ever after, for once? Besides, if we ever get Amy and Rory I want them alongside Matt as 11 rather than faffing around on their own.

It seems that Amy and Rory lived relatively uneventful lives, more like ordinary, albeit with foreknowledge of upcoming events in the 20th century. The photo montage at the end of the Imaginary Enemies comic strip (which was a farewell to Amy and Rory) shows they didn't get involved in alien hunting or anything, and raised the child they adopted. An alien-free slice of life story is certainly a novelty in Doctor Who, but a whole series around that premise isn't something I can see bring in loads of sales. Even if they weren't aware of the alien influences, just how long they could be kept in the dark would wear thin, like how River meeting the classic Doctors could be perceived. Just how many times can the Doctor be made to forget her?
The story of Amy and Rory Pond wrapped up pretty conclusively with Angels Take Manhattan, and had a lovely coda in P.S. (it's a travesty it was never actually filmed). Amelia and Rory Williams have earned a quiet life in 20th century America.

Nice idea, but wrong members of the family. Amy and Rory's story is best left open ended.
Now if we were talking about their daughter meeting her paternal Grandfather in a future entry in her Diary...

Mark Williams has done a Big Finish before as Maxwell Edison in The Eternal Summer. Maybe Anthony Williams can be a character as well, River's brother. That'd be a lovely connection for River to try forge.

The only thing I’d be interested in being picked up directly after Angels Take Manhattan is a trilogy of stories with the Doctor and River. Pick up on the dialogue about River staying with the Doctor for a little while, and see how he develops into his retirement we see in The Snowmen.
A story with Brian in a future River set has great potential too.

I would not be interested in this. The Angels Take Manhattan is the resolution of their story.

Not saying whether I think it *should* happen or not but it's an era with a lot of possibilities. I could see Amy getting into scrapes while researching the kids books she would go on to write, or the pair of them being a bit Nick and Nora Charles or getting involved in shady WW2 shenanigans. As I say, not commenting on if it *should* happen or not but the writer part of my brain does see possibilities.

If Big Finish were able to get Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill in the studio, a box set of them living together after The Angels Take Manhattan would not be the best use of everybody’s time...

You know, now that you mention it, I actually do rather like Attack of the Cybermen ...

I think I'd just like to see something with Amy and Rory and trust in Big Finish to make it something worthwhile, whatever it is. I think anything they might do with the two has possibilities and they do keep turning out great stuff.
In fact, it's kind of interesting that I think of that Weeping Angels story from CDNM as sort of a surrogate happy ending for Amy and Rory, which I adore - but I think it would feel phony somehow if it really were Amy and Rory having a happily-ever-after. Can trouble and adventure really be finished with those two? :-)

Susan was involved in helping Earth get back on its feet after the Dalek invasion. Nyssa became a medic, fell in love and raised a family before getting caught up in the TARDIS again. Victoria may have had an encounter with the Great Intelligence, depending on if you include Downtime, but otherwise had a quiet life. Vicki didn't start a revolution, even if she did feel inconvenienced by the primitive technology of ancient Greece.
Amy and Rory were settling down by Power of Three before the Doctor came back and the Slow Invasion of the cubes. With the Angels gone from Manhattan and no way back to the Doctor or their old life, they'd relish the opportunity to settle down and just live life one day at a time, as long as they had each other.

I imagine their life would be pretty much like the Leadworth dream in "Amy's choice". Well without the Doctor and the Eknodine anyway. xD

The idea of an older Amy running into Winston Churchill post- Victory of the Daleks does hold some interest to me.

There's been enough time and distance from their ending onscreen, though, to expand upon it. Eh, I'm not saying Amy wouldn't relequnish a long happy life with Rory, but it's Amy. She's get restless and she'd be up for it and Rory did enjoy his adventures with The Doctor until The God Complex and with the distance of time.....

There is ONE story they could investigate. What happened the real Statue of Liberty?
