Is there much space between the Exit of E-Space and the arrival at TRAKEN for such a venture? Mind you no reason that The adventures couldn’t continue within E space,Romanaless,She can be off doing her own thing for a while Oh, definitely. At the beginning of Traken, the Keeper mentions that, unlike him, the Doctor has quite a while to go yet. Same goes for Logopolis. Adric's reaction to hearing about Nyssa feels like a significant amount of time's passed since their visit as well. I tend to stick the last couple Fourth Doctor stories in that gap for how well they lead up into it. The Doctor hits a few scenarios that are about the end of things, then meets Merlin (possibly him from the far future) and is left contemplating his own future. I very much have enjoyed Matthews inclusions in the Dark Shadows range and he really shines in them and am sure I will enjoy them if he does do them. The Iterations story has become one of my favourite stories to listen too and he definitely holds his own against the other cast members for someone the original team used to slag off in interviews I read. Its great he is back and in full swing. Am glad others know timeline things better than me about what can fit into what. It was very much noticeable in The Peter Moffat and RTD era they made sure there were enough gaps between certain stories to ensure fillers

I believe it's happened, 1-2 seasons to go before the release (?). Tommy B is about 5 seasons in advance recorded You’re thinking of the Tom/Lalla/Matthew/John run. There’s none with just Tom/Matthew. Well seeing as Mr Dorney is script editor on all the future series of 4DAs that we know about and it would be logical to extrapolating his continuing involvement in the range, we can deduce there is no Tom & Matthew series already recorded or even in pre-production. That is a surprise on many levels.

I've made this comment before but I think Adric has been travelling with the Doctor as sole Companion for quite a long time before 'Logopolis'. They seem very much a team in that story, plus Adric's later sulkiness about 'those girls' suggests he'd got used to having the Doctor to himself - the ultimate teacher on the ultimate 'gap year' travels.
I'd like a Fourth/Adric set seeing what trouble he got into, maybe playing up the originally intended but hardly seen 'Artful Dodger' side of Adric a bit? A maths prodigy with slightly flexible ideas about property could cause a lot of trouble for the Doctor to sort out - and be very useful in the right places. A bit like a young Vila/Avon combination? (If I'm allowed a franchise cross-reference! ) And the Doctor+experience teaching him to think better of it!

Am due a rewatch of those episodes to pick up on your thoughts.I do agree i would like to see The Doctor and Adric on their own.Stories were a bit overcrowded with companions by time Davison’s Doctor appeared.I guess BF/writers got the balance right as in Iterations Of I,no companion was short changed or had to undergo delta wave augmentation 🤪.I think Matthew also has matured also as an actor (if he even needed to ?)He is a great ambassador for the show and also for that other range😉. Am sure Mr Dorney will have it all in hand .

That is a surprise on many levels. It is a surprise and given how well John Dorney knows these characters i cannot see him not having ideas. He captured Adric very well in the Fifth Doctor Box set and in his own story the Doctor and Adric were the team definitely despite the banter between the two,Adric had an attachment to the Doctor there. So with as has been hinted in other threads that Lalla is off to Hong Kong (rumour control, rumour control)theres no reason they cannot explore that avenue.Given also Tom Bakers love of recording am sure he would jump at the chance to fill a gap.

According to Cold Fusion, which is set almost immediately after Castrovalva, Adric has only been with the Doctor for a few weeks. So there’s room, just not a massive amount.

Could we... possibly... maybe... because the annual has the Fourth Doctor, Adric and K9 Mark III as a team, see that at some point in the future? I reckon that'd make a fun dynamic. The old mage, his rogue-like apprentice and their tin dog who's destined to be a gift for an old friend.

On that theory, I'd think Adric helped with the programming of K-9 III - he seems more playful than the other models and somehow "younger" too (if a robot can be younger) - that business with the gnome and knocking things over at the plant nursery, not to mention the singing... K-9 the puppy!

Using a perception filter I suppose?
(Thinks: teenager, annoyingly intelligent, annoying generally, 80s hair. Might not need the perception filter )

Where is that spin-offs thread...? You know the one, " Oh, Captain! My Captain: Memoir of an Intergalactic Pirate King."

An adaptation of the Eighth Doctor novel ‘The Crooked World’ It’s a great novel but I have no clue on how you would translate cartoon antics to an audio medium.
