This one was odd. The story moved briskly, but just certain areas didn't work for me {Spoiler} -I thought the monsters were underdeveloped, we know nothing about them save they want to take over Earth. Bit generic. -Episode 3's cliffhanger was weird, all the drama escalates beyond reasonable levels and the Doctor's 'agh' sounds really half-hearted -Ace is right in Part 4, her actions at end of Part 3 were idiotic (she had no way of knowing the Doctor would be fine) -Lysandra usurps Nimrod, stating their purpose is to cure the infected not wipe them out; but then calls an air strike which will wipe them out? -Why does Nimrod urge Hex to resurrect Cassie? Just for fun? Surely he should be focused on getting to his escape route? -I thought the monsters were spread as far as the M25? So why does just targeting the Crichton Building deal with all of them? -Hex seemingly forgets the monsters to just focus on burying his mother. This doesn't ring true for me, Hex is above all else compassionate for others and sees the death of the private and learns of Mark's fate due to the infection, so surely he would focus on helping to resolve that in the moment and deal with his mother's remains afterwards?

Covers a lot but is very unfocussed.
Strong performances from the regulars.
Maybe the Cliff-hanger is overkill with hindsight.

Intriguing, complex & mysterious, if you ain't heard the previous Forge stories this ain't a jumping on point audio, however i loved this & thought it a satisfying conclusion to the Forge trilogy.
4/5.

This was the story in which the whole Forge arc, and Hex's relationship to it, starts to sour for me. I don't like the direction that the stories, and especially Hex's story starts to go, and it pretty much starts to heat up right around the time of this story.

Having heard her as Osgood, Ingrid Oliver's voice really stands out.
