Does anyone else get suggestions of “Genesis of Terror” (that being the next Divergent Wordsmith fanthology wherein we ask “what would happen if someone else was sent to do what the Doctor was sent to do in “Genesis of the Daleks”) from the title “Anti-Genesis”?

I often think if you are having a cardboard sleeve around the boxset, why not have the cover artwork inside textless. The title would be on the spine and back cover, so why put it on the front as well? Or or just have the textless versions as alternative covers when there isn’t an era specific logo. Obviously this only relates to the physical medium.

Yay more Derek Jacobi as the War Master.
I am the Master and you will buy me!

I just noticed: the "Rage of the Time Lords" set is scheduled to be released in the same month (July 2019) as the Eighth Doctor Time War Volume 3 set. Crossover opportunity? Why stop there! Release Gallifrey: Time War 2 in the same month and have a Time War Triangle. It would certainly be nice for the Eighth Doctor to encounter people, places and predicaments from the other Time War ranges. I appreciate he might not be able to meet Jacodi’s Master, although perhaps a variation of the device used in the Garden of Death could allow them to meet and then both forget about it!? In the end of the day it’s the Time War - time and the Doctor’s memory can be damaged.

Oooh yes, I didn’t realise all three would be due in the same month. A crossover would be quite good actually, with Gallifrey being the gap between the Eighth Doctor and the War Master; they don’t need to meet.

The only issue I see is that the Doctor isn’t even slightly phased meeting Yana, not even a hint of a possibility he thought to himself ”that looks like the Master”, which suggests that they never met. Although, you know, the Eighth Doctor is known for his memory losses, so...

does the war master ever fight daleks? we have seen how the doctor fights daleks over and over. i'd like to see how the master does it. He got caught up with them in Beneath the Viscoid from Only the Good. doesnt seem odd that during a horrific war against the daleks the WAR master doesnt fight the daleks? we know he eventually turns and runs but i wanna hear him fight the daleks before that happens. so in the 4 stories we get per box set shouldnt at least half be vs the daleks? otherwise whats the point? excepting the selling point of sir derek. what is the point?

You don't really think the Master was a good little soldier, do you?

I hope the artist who did the covers for Only the Good is doing the covers for these, I love them to bits, especially The Sky Man. Stuart manning did the artwork for OTG and I think it’s back to one of their regulars for the new one

He’s tried that, they put him on trial and exterminated him. hes a pragmatic monster, so he knows his enemy hates him and not spare him therefore he has to run or fight. Being the Master he’s ably doing both.

Fight the Daleks? The Master is a bad guy... he should be working with the Daleks! He’s tried that, they put him on trial and exterminated him. They didn't do a very good job of it then did they, if he's still around. They must have been Thaleks! (Useless pepper-pots!)

Just because I like idle speculation.
Could the Doctor appear in Rage of the Time Lords?
Perhaps introduced in the story entitled The Missing Link
Could the War Master face off against...
...Doctor Ogron!

I liked that this Master cared as much about the standard of coffee in 1970s England as the future of Gallifrey. We've had 4 sets of War Doctor vs The Daleks with 4 sets of McGann now building up to that and mining similar territory. It'd be a bit dull to have The Master just doing that too. Then again being Derek Jacobi...I could listen to 4 sets of him doing nothing but moaning about the coffee happily. It's nice to have a Time War range that is a bit more obtuse. Doing something a bit more subversive.
