There was another request for E-Books in the latest Podcast with a reply "a whiff of some plans to do so".

I'd be willing to bet that the Dead Men Diaries is the hardest to get, featuring as it does a story by a certain Mr. Moffat... I came across a copy in excellent condition for $25 not long ago and snapped it up.

Speaking of excellent bargains on Benny books, I managed to get a great quality copy of Happy Endings for $3. Yes, three. As in One, Two, Three. There is too much butter On Dos Trays. Probably my favorite bargain.

Sounds pretty tenuous to me. I think it is a new term in Nick's canon of possible things ahead of both No Plans At The Moment & Just Imagine.

I would recommend reading the short story anthology "Life During Wartime" (still available) immediately before listening to the audio "Death and the Daleks" which is the conclusion to the story arc in the book

Probably a good idea. I didn't, though, and I still understood Death and the Daleks.

Are you asking what novels are essential to understanding the audio stories? I listened to all the audio stories before reading any of the books and understood the stories just fine. No doubt I will understand more after reading the books, and I plan to re-listen to all the audio dramas when I get around to reading all the books. But I didn't feel as though I was missing out in terms of understanding the audio stories just because I haven't read the books yet.
But as far as buying the Big Finish books, I would go ahead and buy whatever you can. That's what I did. They are permanently discounted and the ones that are not available as digital format will go out of print when the last copy is sold. So I would grab them while they are still reasonably priced. Once they go out of print, the price shoots up, though if they went out of print recently, you still may be able to grab some of them elsewhere at a reasonable price.

Yes, Thank you and sorry that my question wasn't clear. This will help me so much as i can now buy whichever one i want.

I'd love to know who's keeping the big finish and virgin books from going fully digital. Some authors don't like getting royalty checks?

Seriously though, it wouldn't be hard to scan existing copies and make sellable product.
Sure, it's a niche product, but right now no one's making any money at all off the books.so isn't a little better than zero?

It's not just scanning, odds are it'd be typing up the contents of each book so the formatting to Epub and Mobi would be easier, and they'd need someone they can rely on to proof-read it so there aren't any errors. It just doesn't seem to be a priority at the moment, and there's sufficient revenue from the current stock and upcoming projects to continue business.

Disagree.
You can get an intern to scan the files to pdf, then convert with a basic program. Could crank out a book a day, no prob.
Then over time, can replace the bare-bones files with higher-quality edited pure text versions.
It's not that hard.
Which is why I wonder if there are dumb authors who just hate big finish or something and won't sign off.
