would like to know if any of the Collins/DS characters have visited my country given all the castles rain fog and mist and long haunting moors seems ideal territory 😆

As far as UK appearances go, here's what I've got: - Jason McGuire, a con artist and former accomplice of Paul Stoddard, was an Irishman. Leticia Faye and Pansy Faye both came from London, Leticia coming to America with Gerard Stiles. Pansy's sister - Barnabas in 1967 and 1897 used his cousin from England cover, both times someone saw through the ruse but it wasn't exposed (Burke Devlin looked up the name Barnabas gave, while Quentin knew it was a ruse because he'd just been in England and not encountered a UK branch of the family). - In 1700 Silas Collins receives the Crimson Pearl from Isaac Collins, who has settled in America for ten years. Likely still England, as Silas and Grace both sound upper class. 34 years later the UK branch of the family goes bankrupt and are forced to sell everything, including the Crimson Pearl. - Quentin visits London several times during the 20th century, in 1906, 1941-1945, 1973 and 1983. During the 40's he travels to Wales for a New Years. - In 1973 Tony and Cassandra voyage across the Atlantic and have a holiday together in England for just over a month, which takes a dramatic turn in the countryside.
It's possible one of Roger's business trips could have taken him to the UK, as he and Elizabeth later stayed in Paris for a prolonged duration of time. Similarly, one of Burke Devlin's business contacts could have led him there. He did have ready means to look into the story Barnabas told upon his arrival.

His Dorian Gray script The Prime of Deacon Brody is set there. I find European mythology and creatures fascinating, and exploring that is something I'd love to see more of in Big Finish. Even if it is vampires, different variations based on these cultures would make them stand out more.

And if Jason was from the South, he might not take kindly to being included in the UK list!

Dark Shadows going international is pretty rare, especially outside of expanding backstories like with Angelique's Descent. One thing I like about the Quentin stories is how they explore the supernatural community beyond Collinsport, like the Coven of the Blue Rose in Blood Dance or Jackson Lowell's experiments in The Skin Walkers. The two Amy short stories set in Paris are a lovely change of scenery.

Just popping to say - without wanting to distract from all the wonderful Dark Shadows and Lela Collins love - if audity is looking for spooky stories set in Scotland, the Omega Factor range may appeal...

I must do The Omega Factor. I have both the DVDs and the CDs and have yet to indulge. Roy's two novels set in Scotland are both terrific. They're set in Fife and Edinburgh so I get an special thrill from reading them as I've been everywhere they're set. Well... *almost* everywhere. How would you describe your novels, Roy? They're certainly of appeal to Dark Shadows listeners. The two audiobooks of Roy's novels are available here whatnoiseproductions.bandcamp.com/merch alongside other stuff from David Darlington, Joe Lidster, Matthew Waterhouse and people such as Chris Boucher and Chris Brookmyre. Blimey, Roy and I must have known each other for half our lifetimes by now. I'm much older, sadly.

When it comes to 'Dark Shadows goes on holiday', I think the American fan base prefer things to mostly stay in or near Collinsport. Although having said that, they were very keen to hear a dramatisation of what happened to Quentin and one of the Lauras in Egypt. We got asked for that a lot at the 2016 Festival. I think that was the second most requested thing, above 'do Julia Hoffman' and below 'do more Tony and Cassandra'.
We sold a fair few Curse of Shurafa CDs on the back of people asking for Julia and us saying 'have you heard this one?'.

There are lots of storylines that can lend themselves to the DS treatment its such a great show .And the Collins family do have money so they Must travel. i enjoy the Tony and Cassandra’s the Maggie and Quentins the Shurafas and the Lela and Quentin. I will take whatever the writers and producers come up with am sure they know how to entertain given the high standard I have already heard
