Finally, a solo outing for Andy. Given how important he has become at BF recently, he absolutely deserves this. The Rhys and Ianto one written by Tim Foley sounds positively intriguing too, now that's an unique pairing.
Less Jack and Gwen this series, but on the other hand this is leaving more room for the other Torchwood members to develop and I'm okay with it.
Red Base looks amazing. I was expecting it to be Tosh story, but putting the best Welsh Sgt in space is brilliant, and something I am eager to find out how and when it happens.
Ex Machina looks to be a post apocalyptic Ianto story, and after being very pleased with Alfie Shaw's fullest writing in Regeneration Impossible, I am excited to see what happens
The Three Monkeys is another Owen and Andy story and looks to be dealing with an extremely lucky businessman, perhaps involved with aliens... Who would have guessed that this pairing would become such a great mainstay of the range. All I can say is that a boxset like Torchwood Soho: Parasite with Owen and Andy would be fab.
Rhys and Ianto's Excellent Barbecue. The title alone is worth the bundle. An unexpected pairing, but an admittedly obvious one tbh. Sounds like a ball of a time.
The Crown. Jonathan Barnes writing a Torchwood. His work on Sherlock Holmes and the mention of Queen Victoria makes it seem like a Roweena Cooper led release, but I wonder if the cover may reveal it to be something different. Someone claiming to be Queen Victoria leads me to think that something is a bit out of the ordinary, perhaps Tosh has been possessed by Queen Vic's ghost?
All these releases sound good, but The Three Monkeys might just be my most anticipated. A combination of Burn Gorman, Tom Price and James Goss can never be a bad thing. I'm so glad these single-disc Torchwood stories seem to be carrying on indefinitely.
