I think it’s: August: Andy September: Ianto October: Andy and Owen November: Rhys and Ianto December Queen Vic Yes that's it. I’m really annoyed about this. I like Rhys and Andy, and doing Jack meets Queen Victoria was fun, but I feel like I’ve paid a subscription for Torchwood and instead I’m getting lots of peripheral or irrelevant characters. One play without the regulars a year as a kind of “Doctor Lite” episode is ok. But I do feel like this is taking the audience for granted. If they can’t afford or book the regulars any more maybe they need to re think. I’m certainly rethinking my sub. Apologies for the slight rant.

I have never seen Torchwood on TV and do not even know who the "regulars" are, apart from Jack. But I have started to get my toe in with the audios and I am enjoying a few of the monthly range. I am just taking them as stories as they are, and there are a few really good ones. And I can say that I definitely like Andy.

I love Jack and Gwen as much as everyone, but I also really enjoy how this season of the Main Range is trying to put more emphasis on the other Torchwood members. I also wouldn't call Andy "peripheral", I think he's become as important as any member from the original television team over the years, thanks to Big Finish. Plus, Gwen and Jack had some weak episodes last season in my opinion. I was not really fond of Expectant and Smashed, so giving them less episodes - there are still 3 left unannounced right now - might be a good thing, I think. Torchwood's Main Range is one of BF's most experimental ranges at the moment so I'm happy whenever they try and shake things up instead of relying on the same main characters over and over again. I understand you position, though. I get why it might be frustrating to get a ton of episodes with Andy and Ianto in a row. I hope you will still find them entertaining. Personally, I can't wait to listen to them all.

Torchwood #43 The Three Monekys
Andy Davidson's been ordered to watch over a local businessman. Everything's always gone right for him, and Andy’s long wondered why. Owen joins him on the stakeout. He knows something – the businessman's attracted Torchwood’s attention, and tonight, the two of them are going to take him down. But will luck be on their side?

This news story has me very excited. Since the Soho set, things have been a little quiet for Torchwood lately, and I've not been as enthused by the recent releases as I usually am. I love that Big Finish have something big to mark the anniversaries coming up for the concept.

I wonder if for the fifteenth anniversary, it’ll be a story focusing on the Torchwood team during the events of The Sound of Drums. I seem to recall The Master mentioning he had sent them on a wild goose chase or something.
If not for the fifteenth then it might suit just a regular monthly release.

As ever I’m still speculating what the fifteenth anniversary special might entail. Thought perhaps the Doctor might finally make an appearance but admittedly that might rather devalue and take away from the Torchwood team as a whole.

I wondered if that would be impossible for Big Finish to resist too, but I hope they don't. As always with these 'big' events, where do you go next? More crossovers usually. Vienna meeting Captain Jack, The Paternoster Gang meeting River Song, etc. Possibilities are practically endless when it comes to those. That or releasing stories set during the events of past stories. Seems to be a fascination as of late to have a lot of stories set during An Unearthly Child. 1963 as a year must be such a mess when it comes to temporal matters.

Pure speculation on my part, but perhaps No 50 will be the opening chapter of an arc leading to the next 'among us' trilogy of boxsets, with a story linking the Torchwood team of the present day to events involving the Torchwood team of fifteen years ago...

I'd really like for the 'current' Torchwood members to get some time to shine in the monthly series, especially with the hiatus we have with the 'Among Us' sets. I'd especially love to have a Colchester monthly adventure!

Just thinking with last month's news piece and the fact that Torchwood is the weekly deal, that we might get an announcement regarding the monthly range or maybe even Series 7.

It’s a very simple yet still very effective cover.
