Bit disappointed really… aside from the odd one, there’s not much variety in the monthly range at the moment. Can’t understand why they’re so reluctant to use their original Torchwood characters from Aliens/God Among Us (aside from Colchester) in these.

While it's still a consistantly strong range i think it's clear that their struggling with cast availability at the moment, preharps it would be better to go bi-monthly? I can't imangine many people are going to be overtly excited about another ianto or queen Vic story (as much as we like their characters) especially in a cost of living crisis

Stories sound interesting. Must admit I’m a little disappointed we’ve yet to get that much anticipated (at least from my perspective) Tosh and Owen double hander.
And considering how often Queen Victoria seems to deal with spectral entities, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me should we get an adventure featuring her meeting M.R. James.

It’s a little disappointing we’re getting another wave of Ianto, Tosh and Victoria. It would be nice for Victorian Torchwood to get a little more fleshed out beyond the Queen herself, and obviously more of the regulars would be lovely though I suspect schedules restricts that a lot.
This range is of high enough quality though that I’m willing to give them benefit of the doubt though. Even with a tightening budget, I want to support a consistently good range that doesn’t depend on crossover gimmickry.

As much as I do like Ianto & Tosh (of course I do), and Queen Vic, yeah, I'm beginning to wish for a little more... 'Variety' too.
Whilst I am becoming a little weary of all the 'x meets y' crossovers too, I do kind-of hope that they 'get round to' doing another story-arc throughout the range again at some point, like they did in the earlier days with The Committee, I will say...

For a range that I was chomping at the bit monthly to hear, I’ll be completely honest and I don’t think I’ve listened to the last three(War Chest onwards). Unfortunately, it seems that Torchwood is unable to have much variety characters wise, and though the writers have been varied quite nicely, it’s been a hamper on my enthusiasm.

Also I honestly thought Ash Darby was a pen name, but perhaps not.

Speaking of Soho, I wouldn’t mind a solo Lizbeth monthly story…

You know i dont think ive heard a Torchwood Dalek Story really surprised Big Finish never did that crossover Probably a Dalek story in there regarding one of the Torchwood team having to go undercover and retrieve the one from Van Statten’s collection. Feel like that would make for a good Owen or Tosh story.

I'd like to see TW turing up behind the scenes at a Classic Who story - just like DS9 did with Trials and Tribbleations and BF sort did with Fate of Krelos / Return to Telos. They could be behind the scenes in Day, Resurrection or Remembrance of the Daleks. Maybe even at the top of the empire state building, with Peter Purves reprising Morton Dill!

There’s a lot of stories I could see Torchwood fitting into. A Torchwood story featuring the Second World War branch set during the Empty Child where they’re investigating talk of a “ghostly child wearing a gas mask” could be a fun one.
