Nick implied on the podcast that a top secret announcement was due this week... Out of interest, where's this Vigil/Ash Darby rumour come from?
I was under the impression that while they had intended to record a monthly with Murray, he unfortunately passed away before they could do so.

I really do hope Absent Friends sees a release at some point. Barrowman has done little to endear himself to anyone after what all happened, regardless of how long ago the incidents were. But it's unfair on everyone else involved in the production of the story for it to never see the light of day. Couldn't have happened at a worse time for the first Torchwood story ever to actually feature the Doctor. I agree. |

It really does seem weird to have no news on the Torchwood Monthly. Surely it's pre order figures will be down seeing as many will wait for details before doing so. Unless they are surprise dropping Absent Friends - Beyoncé style - despite my thoughts on the Barrowman, I do enjoy the character of Jack and had been quite excited for that release. Perhaps they are going to "drop" the details for the whole next lot of Monthlies at once. |

I’d almost been resigned to thinking more Torchwood Future was off the cards! Not only was I wrong but three entire releases, with two more cast members returning alongside the Ood. Just to put this out there, but I hope this is the first step to a proper boxset with everyone back together!

Oh, I’m all for this. I thought Empire of Shadows was a real standout release and Zachary Flane turned out to be far more interesting than I thought. With plenty of potential from both him and the setting.
I really hope this doesn’t end up with the Beast making a return though. That particular threat is best left as a one and done in my opinion.

On board with this. I loved Empire of Shadows and was disappointed that it seemed to be a one and done release. So very happy to get that expanded to a trilogy with other returning characters.
